Well this finally gives me closure on something I've wondered about for a little while now "Whatever happened to the Red Sea reef" 🤣

I have been away from my tank since early November and am not home yet, this week hopefully. While I am away my wife normally tops up my ATO tank and puts a couple of drops of plankton into the reef tank. I have a Mastertronic tester that tests once a week and my nutrients have steadily declined over the last 8 weeks, whilst everything else has remained stable. The plan for my tank was always automation some of it worked and some equipment has been very disappointing, although working the remote control part of it died a death. From the weekly videos my wife sends me, most of the inhabitants seem to be growing well and I think they have enjoyed me not putting my hands in the tank or tweaking things like pumps or lights.

You should get some Acro Crabs (Trapezius) to help keep algae off of them, and overall help them out :)

Evening Ryan, how do you feed those sun corals? I have recently purchased a nice sized colony of probably 10+ heads, polyps come out when lights go out and I can try and feed them with lps pellets and various lps liquid foods that I have. Whilst you were away, did your friends pay any individual attention to yours? The Chalices I purchased from you have settled in and started to show some growth

I found that direct feeding with a chunkier formula works best. They are very picky eaters in my experience.

Would you still recommend the Red Sea ReefLED 90s? I am looking to buy lights that I can add modules to when I upgrade to a bigger tank. I also want to buy in to a manufacturer that sells other smart equipment to avoid having too many apps. I have AI Nero 5s so could add AI lights but then they don't do any other equipment - decisions decisions !!
