I-70 Colorado Glenwood Canyon
Video provides footage of I-70 through Glenwood canyon . Beginning construction in 1980, this is without a doubt a 20th century engineering marvel due to the elements and surprises CDOT overtook in 12 years, designing, and making the final link of interstate 70. The following video pays respect to the 20th anniversary.

+Brian Bennett Hey how was your drive across I-70 Colorado?
(Part 1 of 2): This was a top-notch production, for a top-notch stretch of Interstate...and not just top-notch, but *THE* most spectacular stretch of Interstate, and one of the world's greatest civil engineering projects that mankind has ever constructed. I actually like the fact that you didn't speed the footage up too much, allowing viewers like me to really take in the "magnificence of the canyon." I remember the first time I had heard/read about...(Comment continued in Part 2)
I'll be putting this onto my "Must do" roads when we visit the US next year.
(Part 2 of 2)...about I-70 thru Glenwood Canyon, a good dozen years ago, and was literally in awe of the pictures. Finally got to drive it in 2006, and the billing of the phrase attached to this stretch of I-70 as the "Crown Jewel of the Interstate Highway System" is not hyperbole or an overstatement by any means. Great photos, great facts, great execution...simply your best video to date. Favorited and this will be going on my FreewayBrent Facebook fan page. Thanks a lot for this!
Great job, it's obvious that you put A LOT of work in to this one, it was like a mini-documentary.
marvellous... simply marvellous
lots of information, amazing scenery.. huge thanks goes to Brian! Thank you man! Thanks a lot!
.. yes a great ride - shared on FB ..
Glad that I finally watched this one - it was sitting in my watch later folder. Excellent job!

Absolutely
This has to be the most scenic part of any US interstate.Must be awesome to drive thru this. also I love this song????
It is awesome, I lived close to there for awhile
I don't know if you're still active, or even look at this channel, but I want you to know that your videos got me into becoming a civil engineer to learn about how these magnificent structures are built
wow...how neat is this
The instructions for, The Gantry, when translated from French to English read; "Fit tab A into slot B." lol Just being silly. I enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing the spectacular scenery.
I bet this is even more spectacular in the winter. I thought it was interesting with all the environmental items being shown, you were behind a Prius.
That was some excellent stuff right there! I see your dedication every second with this.
Excellent video Brian!
Awesome piece of work! I love the wealth of information presented here and the scenic ride. No doubt when I eventually explore this, I'll probably need someone else to drive the first time so I can take in everything, then drive it again!
Beautiful! Canyons are spectacular!
Awsome video and landscapes ! I read in your subtitles that a french crane was used to build these viaducs. Glad it finally served to travel in a so beautiful canyon !
I used to drive for CME out of Glenwood Springs. I loved this drive through the Canyon. Just couldn't get the truckers to slow down.
Awesome!
breathtaking! i wonder the face of the grizzly hunter, if he see his valley now
That is great!
Nice! Very well done! (I'm looking forward to your completing the I-70 trip west through the Rockies.)
I'm not quite sure since when we have it, just that it also quite some time ago, and of course since then has constantly upgraded etc. By the time we got sensors every 4 km / 2.5 mi on every highway
Wow! Thanks for the video.
this song is epic...
Great work man!
Well done!
You mentioned the ATFMS as a first of its kind tecnology - since when do they have it? Cause here in Germany we have those systems all over the country on every single highway (Autobahn), monitoring the flow of traffic, speed, car distance, vehicle size, rain, fog, air and road temperature etc., and also controls dynamic traffic signs etc
you choose the best music in my opinion .....give the names of the songs......this one is sirens of the sea.....if i could fly
Such an amazing view and its a great drive for you I'm sure.. thanx Brian for uploading this.. making me jealous of you lol.. wats the music u playin. Title and song good choice too
Good Job! Continue it :)
Is there actually a place called "No Name"
somebody hit thumbs down say it aint so lol i think they do that just so people like me would complain about it nice video im gonna subscribe and im moving to Colorado in a month cant wait until i see this in person
Been here with a semi 3 times . No more.
Fun fact, they almost took I-70 over the flat tops instead but ultimately decided against it.
what's the soundtrack ?
(7:11) - Typical French snobs. And we helped liberate them in 1944.
