Great stuff. When I-45 was constructed, Houston had only 400,000 inhabitants (over 2.3 million today)

I used to rock Isley brothers... My parents favorite... nice video Jim, Gulf freeway has character.. They should plant more palms on the sides.. :) Keep'em coming/....

@Cyrus992 -I was there in late June when I filmed Charleston & Jax but got caught in an afternoon T-Storm when I was attempting to film Savannah. Not sure when I'll be back there. Honestly, aside from the bridge (Which I did get in one direction and is on an upcoming vide) Savannah does not do much for me.

I was driving Gulf Freeway (I-45) south to the Hobby Airport just 48 hours ago while listening to Michael Berry on the 950.

Interesting that Dead Man's Merge is in view of a skyscraper with a cross on its front (to I-45) side.

TOWARDS the end there is a strange Y-shape structure Is that a road? Sort of an odd spot to put an extra freeway.
