I think looking at the current market for EVs, Hyundai has made a bold move to introduce this vehicle in India. And I think we all appreciate it. But yes, will this convert into actual sales figures, is a million dollar question.

Today, I got a chance to take a closer look of this car at near by Hyundai dealership. I've got to say, this is a real EYE CATCHER. I think it was longer and wider than Alcazar, since it was standing next to it, also it was wearing massive 255/45 R20 Michelin Pilot Sport EVs.

I think one of the major thing that needs to be talked about is nation-wide EV charging infrastructure. I mean, sure, this car is great with it's features and pricing but if one does a road trip then the entire thing becomes a calculated risk since we don't know whether charging infra will be present or not at those places. Until that issue is solved, buying such a costly EV just to drive inside city doesn't make sense. But I can be wrong as well.

If you live in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore or Chennai and have ability to charge at home or office, you can go for Ioniq 5. Charging facilities for long drives from these cities are good and improving rapidly. Also you get to buy car with all the money you pay with ioniq 5, with Tucson, you are simply paying 25L+ in taxes and buying a car with remaining money.

This for GAGAN primarily . I have booked early , price 44.95 , on road around 50 , refundable by Haryana Govt 5 lacs . I am not bothered about brand name . But , I expect more value for money , luxurious ride comfortable and features like luxury cars of same or competing price range of 50-70 lac range . I am 70 yrs , 5 days my car is driver driven , 2 days self driven .primary deal breaker is ride comfort for me , seat being jerk free , suspension should absorb road vibration giving smooth ride without tiring vibration frequencies and luxurious upholstery , causing no tiredness for me in 60-70 km trip ( I have diabetic legs and get tired on long trips on honda city ) . Does this car provide these as value for the price paid ? Is it right choice or there are better options i performance . ADAS functions : Lane assist , automatic speed following next car and auto braking on NH8 ,I am apprehensive about there quality , smoothness , effectiveness without being too jerky , as I compared with. Innova Hycross ( 32 lac on road ) and that was effective . What is your experience ? Company rep says ground clearance is 163 Cms . It can stay submerged in 1 m deep water upto 1/2 hour . In Gurgaon , in one days rain logging , the water rises upto 1/2 m and car May have to keep running without switching off for hour or more . Will it stand ? In foreign countries comprehensive warranty for KIA/Hyundai looks to be 7 years . Low here ? Is there any package? Your verdict and advice please .

If you analyse cost, it is more than all including fuel cost for future time of a normal Perol car. The same car could be available for 15 to 20 L if it were petrol/ diesel car. You are paying almost 100% premium. Right now EV cars are at least 50 to 60% costlier than normal car. Even if u run fuel car for 50 k, you would hv spent about 6 lacs on the fuel and another lac on mentainance

Really they should have kept remote parking in India and now I am not going to buy it Hyundai just lost there one Costomer, at this price we Indian deserve all features, this kind of compromise is really shame, please bring remote parking feature it’s so cool and handy.

The one looking to save taxes yearly are gonna buy this car! (Saving tax) is a key word here.
