Thanx; a very helpful tutorial! 😁 I had the steering column tilt somehow come unlocked, which was very exciting when I pulled the wheel forward and it and the upper column came off! 😂Glad I had the wheels straight, so it was easy to reposition properly when I slid it back on. On reassembly, I had a helper lift up on the steering wheel while I was underneath putting in the big bolt, and it wasn't difficult. About a two hour job.

You made that look easy. Gonna take me over an hour for sure. Very impressive.

I just got finished doing this and putting on the steering column assembly was 70% of the time spent doing this job. The coupler replacement took like 1 hour doing everything up to putting back the assembly.

This video was so helpful. Seems you really know your stuff with these cars. Have a question that I can't find an answer for anywhere. I recently acquired a 2010 Elantra, dashboard lights are connected to right taillight, and the fuse kept blowing out. Brought it in for recalls. One had something to do with moisture in the fuse box, I think. One was an undercoat, and one was for the EPS. Then everything was working fine. Out of the blue, my key fob doesn't work, and that same fuse keeps blowing as soon as i hit the lights on. Have you ever seen that before? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, and I love the channel.

This is the exact problem I'm having. Just replaced the rear calipers, rotors, and pads yesterday. This is the next project.

Hey I have a question, I have a 2012 Kia Optima and my power steering quit working and EPS light and Traction Control light both are on and it keep blowing a fuse under the dash in the fuse panel box to the left of the steering wheel. Do you have any clue what the problem might be?

Question on the wires. Are they easy to mix up or does each one only fit the connector it came out of? Could you plug one into the wrong port?

These steps are almost identical for the Elantra Touring. There are a few more steps but basically the same

Correct. That body style elantra it’s actually easier to remove the column from the car completely to replace the bushing

The video is not good, because you don't put the year of your car in the tittle, so is not worth it. is not my car. every car is different. Thumb down

The elantra was unchanged from 2011-2016 so this video will cover 6 model years of the elantra. The forte was roughly 2012-2017. And the Sonata is VERY similar from 2011-2014 so to reach more viewers and help more people, I left the year out as this video will help with MANY vehicles. I’m sorry you feel that way
