Driven 50k kms in 3yrs in my Verna BS6 diesel 1.5L , I have not even faced this issue once.. it’s because of regular EGR valve cleaning done every service and 50% of the car driven in highway! Just make sure to pedal hard and make use of the turbo! This DPF system in Hyundai is more better than the other companies who use adblue!

I am sorry.. i am not being sarcastic. I just dont understand what to do. you just cannot revv up in a city unless you are on gear 1 or max 2. would that not lower the engine life?

You would use diesel engine in order to higher torque o/p. The DPF filter is present for reducing the amount of soot that comes out of engine because diesel engines create more soot in normal condition than their petrol counterparts.

The DPF issue headache comes for users who use diesel engine cars for a very few km travel a day , those who use it to travel for 15-30 km or those who drive the car frequently will not be finding the issue

Am Deepak from chennai. I have issue with i 20 sports TN -22 -DU- 5960 which i have been owning for almost an year ,while driving the car it tends to move towards left not even towards right for a change ..it moves from 1 st lane to 3 rd lane within a 25 to 50 meters, within 10 secs ,the car is with the dealer Lakshmi hyundai saidapet for almost 2 months, even after several works made by the Worksop still the issue is not rectified and i am not convinced with the statement provided by the workshop. From the workshop they are requesting to take my car back and drive for 700 kms and they are trying to convince me by saying that this might get automatically rectified if driven for 700 kms but i am sure this wont be rectified and its just a convincing answer from their end to ensure that i take back the car since its standing in the showroom for 2 months but after almost 2 months i am not satisfied with the kind of answer provided by them I need an immediate resolution for this. From service station the people are trying to convince but they aren't ready to provide me with an resolution. And from service station end they are asking for the spare car which they provided me to use in place of my car ..its fine but till my car is with the service station please ask them to provide me a supplementary car hope it a basic etiquette that can be provided by hyundai. And i am requesting hyundai to directly look into this matter and solve the issue as soon as possible Note: upon knowing the trustworthiness of hyundai i have bought the car and i am not a new customer to hyundai i have been owning few hyundai cars in the past but i am not happy with the resolution which Lakshmi hyundai service station is trying to provide me. We are did the 4th Road Test on 27th of August, yet it’s not resolved and yes for first 3 times they made us spend around 3,500 INR for fuel and wasted 4-5 hours. Am not bothered about wasting time or money, I just want the resolution as a customers least expectation. There are been multiple times the service Center never agrees to us listen us & wanted us to do keep silent by for contacting Hyundai directly , which includes the service manager Mr. Charles, Allocated service guide Mr. Rajesh. I am mentioning their names because do not lead us back to them. They talk in an irresponsible way and try to cover up the problem rather than providing a proper solution. There’s been lot of foul play as well by the mentioned people, which am really scared & worried that why Hyundai does not take seriously about their staffs. We do have witnesses proofs as well. Am also posting these reviews in all social media platforms and making my friends & families to do that to support me. have bought hundai venue last year. Car have disel filter issue. About that issue I have visited many time. Vehicle have not getting proper pickup . Last time I have toing it .on 15 November 2023 to workshop. after after that car was same issue. That's type issue is very dangerous for hundai. They can't resolve my proper problem. Then i give complent against Hyundai . For that issue they says it was government policy. It is bs6 vehicle . So you do regeneration mannual.. it have not self regeneration system.I am very unhappy with thise type issue.. Same issue many times is unhappy for customer Do not purchase like that's vehicle.....like venue.. total scrap west of money You go always with other company.cng or petrol... fuel vehicle.

If dpf process start its the chance to mix diesel in engine oil and need to replace engin oil

Its best to go for petrol. Moreover from April 2023, new stringent regulations r coming for the diesel cars.

Mostly by this yr end or early next yr.

My creta is bs6 engine. If I don't use it for a week it has starting issue , battery is getting drained i believe. I am scared as I have been told bs6 doesn't have such issues if we keep vehicle idle for sometime

Best way to preserve a DPF is to remove the ERG valve completely and to clean the DPF manually if it cloggs too bad. Some people never push their cars enough for the DPF to successfully clean or stay clean

Hi, I am having Creta diesel SX O manufactured in Feb 2023. Daily I used to travel 80 kms 40 km in morning and 40 kms in evening. Now total Kms is 18000. in this 18000 kms 8 times Engine warning light is displayed in cluster. Now in every 150 kms engine warning light is displayed. Service centre authority is saying Catalytic converter had to be replaced. Where the Catalytic converter is not available in stock and everyone is waiting for shipment from Korea. What I need to do as a customer.

Go to service station and ask them to scan the car and do the regeneration process using their s/w management. I did the same today and it worked for me

Hi, in order to do it you need to drive it at high speed like 80+ at around 3k rpm or drive it in city with higer rpm

@@AbhishekSharma-vn3ed hi, what the above comment is only if you want to clear the particulate collected , you can use it normally. If you are going to use the car mostly in a city (most drive is at speed less than 40 kmph) you can follow the above step , but if you regularly drive the car on a highway or at more than 60-70 kmph on an empty road I don't think you will be getting dpf issue.

Simply go for a long drive, I have automatic so I drove on 3rd gear at 60km/hr speed. Alcazar took only 10 minutes and afterwards the warning was not showing on cluster. GO FOR INDIAN OIL IF YOU HAVE DIESEL VEHICLE

GNCAP is an Indian motor industry papet they only give 5star on tata and Mahindra. Not ready to test VW or others and give lower ratings on other country cars. Creta got good score on asianNcap and euroncap

Do not buy venue especially the diesel variant which is a disaster in Hyundai it has lot of problems …check with your service Centre Every 500 to 1000 you will get DPF light in city if you have to do regeneration the cost will be approx 2000 rpm =100km/l speed 25 mins drive will be 43 km with that type of driving you will get 12* Kmpl Which means 3.7 or 4 litres *100 =370/ 400 Rs What I understand is for ever 1000 km you have to spend additional 400 Rs

Even I faced this DPF Issue in Hyundai Venue in 1000KM..later I realised it is due to quality of diesel we use... in some fuel bunk, they mix the kerosene in diesel or they still using BS4 diesel, will do more sulphur deposit in filter and alarm DPF.. Try to use Indian oil fuel, they are the first to introduce BS6 diesel in all fuel bunk. That will solve 90% problem. Try using Indian oil Xtra green diesel, will give good mileage and avoid DPF issue.
