I had the same hysterectomy surgery but with 4 additional for cyst , bladder repair (mesh), clean up from an ectopic pregnancy10 yrs ago, vaginal repair . It really hurts to walk. I’m now 5 days post op. I loved my doctor. Dr. Moore Atlanta was the best. Very caring. I feel like I’m getting apart of my life back. Just grateful

Hey, hope your doing well 1 yr on. I had my hysterectomy, leaving overaies 5 days ago and scrolling through video's to she how others were. Im in the UK and its pretty different, like where insertions are, no binder thing and just plasters and i have to inject myself daily with blood thinners and wear supportive socks. Im doing little 10 - 20 minute walks hoping im not.doing too much, probably back to my office work job next week as i feel good. Hope to hear your progress x

That's very interesting how things are done so differently there. Hope your recovery is going well! I'm about 1 year 9 months post op and still seeing progress in my recovery and getting stronger still. My good days are really good and my flare days aren't as bad as they used to be (although they definitely still suck lol)

Try not to do to much at one time. When I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery it was about ten weeks out when I really felt better. I know it's not the same surgery. Take care. Love You Dad.

I wonder where you had surgery and also what kind of endo surgery. Did they take part of your colon out or ureterer ? Thank you for sharing 💖

I had surgery at Mercy in Baltimore, MD. I had excision surgery done and ended up having pelvic adhesions but not endo (and I had adenomyosis in my uterus). I did not have any of my colon or ureter removed. You can check out my pathology results video where I go over what I had done. Thanks for watching 💜

My hysterectomy for adenomyosis and endo was just cancelled because insurance won’t pay for me to go to an excision specialist. I have suspected bowel and bladder involvement and I’m scared to go to a regular Gyno (my first surgery went horrible) so I’m trying really hard to get insurance to approve what I need (it’s been 2.5 years of fighting) so if you have any tips pls send my way. ❤️ these videos are SO helpful for me. My biggest symptom besides pain is vomiting at least 1-2x a day sometimes for many days in a row so I’m suspecting my recovery will be similar. I’m sick of being sick. All the time. Throwing up sucks. Being nauseous 24/7 sucks. As you know. But pain is poopy too but I’d rather deal w that than nausea.

Ugh I really hate that you're going through this (both the insurance stuff and being sick)! I understand how devastating that must've been to find out your insurance won't cover it... Insurance is such a pain in the butt and makes you jump through hoops sometimes. I understand not wanting a regular gyno to do your surgery since most are not aware of all the nuances of endo/ adeno, but maybe if you go to one and then ask them for a referral for a specialist and explain to them you would be more comfortable with a specialist doing surgery then maybe insurance would cover. You could try calling your insurance to ask them what exactly you would need to do to get it approved but I know insurance companies aren't exactly known for their helpfulness... I really hope you can get it figured out soon! My nausea and vomiting got worse with time where it started occasional then got to the point it was multiple times every day for months and I was wasting away so I definitely understand how awful that is. Although I still have some pain now, I can finally put my life back together since the nausea/ puking stopped a few months into recovery. I'm so happy you find my videos helpful! I really hope you are able to get your situation figured out. Being sick sucks enough without insurance causing more problems! Wishing you the best 💜

Try Dr. Moore (gyno) Atlanta If you’re near there. Maybe they can help. He’s no regular gynecologist and accepts Medicaid. He only does operative.

I'm doing much better now! I'm about a year and 3 months post op and do still have pain and other things that are probably related to a different condition but I'm so much better than I was before surgery. The first couple months after were a bit of a rollercoaster for me mentally but that settled down. I think part of that was from the transition from hormonal birth control to none for me at least. Hopefully your mental state will get better with a bit of time! Wishing you the best as you recover 💜

Laparoscopic. I had 3 small incisions on my lower abdomen plus one in my belly button. Expect the first couple months to be a bit up and down and unpredictable. Recovery is a slow process but gets better with time. Wishing you the best 💜

It's a lot better but always there still. It used to be debilitating like sitting upright in a chair was excruciating but now I can go about life relatively normally. Sometimes the pain flares but overall it is relatively bearable now.

The hospital put the binder on me before I was awake from surgery and I didn't take it off for the first time until the next day. I didn't have trouble putting it back on though. My binder was really long so there was plenty of fabric to adjust. Maybe your binder was too small if you were having trouble. I'm not sure what you mean in your first question.
