If you have extra time, would you consider doing a yearly review of all controllers you've reviewed for the year and sum up your favorites for different categories (budget, pro, back button, etc)? I think a lot of people would love a comparison between all of the controllers you've reviewed. If not, no worries. You're still the goat :)

Hey, good video as per usual! I left a comment a while back, which you responded to about pro controllers (such as the Elite Series, which makes it the king in my eyes) allows you to map the extra buttons/paddles individually to any possible key when used on a PC as they are separate controls internally. Compared to when the paddles can only be mapped to other buttons on the controller, like the HYPR you just reviewed. I've been waiting to see it mentioned in your most recent reviews as I feel it's so important especially for PC gamers who want to use controllers, to get the most value out of a pro controller. I personally could not recommend any controller to a PC gamer which doesn't have this functionality, as you're losing out on (up to) 4 very important control buttons/paddles on your controller, which if the feature exists opens you up to so many options using macros or shift mode options. This topic could be a video on its own! You can test for this easily using Rewasd - e.g. can you map a paddle or back button individually to a keyboard key?.. Or will it just map the standard controller face button and you can't do the paddle individually. Anyway, just trying to help and thanks for the review!

Just a helpful tip if you go to overclock with HIBUSDF and get the error code that turns the device red, you can go to Settings>Privacy & Security> Windows Security> Device Security> Disable Core Isolation. After you do that reinstall HIBUSDF and it works fine. After that’s done you can re-enable the same core isolation setting.

You should give these guys another look, they recently added hall effect options for any controller and I think they are the top choice as they are amazing in price and technology

Do the interchangeable thumbsticks will cause stick drift on the new hall effect modules? I’m using a kontrolfreek now but Idk if I should go for interchangeable tho

Just keep the standard joysticks and stay with kontrol freeks. Kontrol freeks offer way more variability and swappable thumb sticks wear down faster.

No I cancelled my order. I kept seeing reviews where people received broken controllers (uncalibrated sticks with horrible stick drift) and every single review said that HYPRs customer service took weeks to respond and then never really fixed the controller. @@dennisstrijbos4721

No but they're a bit less grippy. I advise buying Z Sticks or Evil Sticks and just replacing the stick in the controller.

Now they offer Hall effect thumbsticks 🤔

I use my middle finger for the upper/real back buttons and my ring for the lower. I went with the lowest placement and was very worried about it. That is until I got the controller in and it felt perfect. I wouldn’t have it any other way

A few pieces of advice 1. Get the grips on the back 2. Upgrade the thumb sticks. Mine are falling apart(I’m a fps sweat) 3. The rear buttons are very clicky. Very loud. Functionality is on point but they are very loud. Other than that it’s a fantastic controller

@@brianmess4362 you can only remap the square, triangle, X and O buttons. btw, having tried all of these controllers - I recommend the Evil Controllers over the HYPR cuz they are more comfortable as the buttons don't stick out as much like they do on the HYPR. Also, Evil Controllers ship way faster than any of the companies I've tried (Battle Beavers, AIM Controllers and HYPR - Battle Beavers have the longest most ridiculous wait times)

Had mine for almost 7 months and literally feels like the day I bought it, I play cod really heavy and my deadzone still stays below 0

They need to get better at their communication and updating their customers. I order a controller from the on Nov 9th and as given a 7-12 day build time. Tomorrow will be a month and I still haven’t gotten it. After 20 days I sent 3 emails trying to get an update but no answer, just got a shipping number. After 4 of having the shipping number it never updated so I contacted them on twitter and was told that my controller is delayed do to out of stock parts. That should have been an issue that I was sent an email about. Just a simple we are out of stock on these parts and your controller could be delayed would have worked for me.

I always play flipped R1/R2 L1/L2 so I don't see the need for other button style.

I have a hypr x. I did love it but after only about 2.5 months I’ve got some stick drift and it’s basically unusable now. Tried all the quick fixes and nothing works. I will say I loved it while it was usable

This goes to Sony... HYPR and alle those Custom Controller manifactures don't have anything to do with the analog sticks. That's just the bad design of those thumbsticks

Hey. I have Aim, Evil Controller and HYPR. Evil Controller is the best imo, most comfortable to hold and the buttons are almost flushed with controller. He agrees with this in the video... Also you can get the Evil Controller the fastest shipped to you, don't have to wait months

Have you tried there flex 4 rear paddle design?

Clicky triggers for me are overrated. I kept buying them from Hex gaming and the triggers kept breaking, so I had them take em out. Haven't had digital buttons, and since I use back buttons and had bad experience with clicky triggers, I just don't bother. Saves some money too. The rubber activated buttons are also quieter and cheap to replace, so I feel as though you underrated the buttons with 3/5. Atleast 4/5, since theyll get the job done and you have back buttons to avoid using them anyways.

You can tell this was a sponsored review. A lot of his complaints of the razer wolverine v2 he just glosses over on this pad

what use do padles have for people who don't play fps games? (specially not on controllers, for those i use kbm obviously) i've been using an 8bitdo pro 2 for almost 2 years and i never mapped the back padles to anything i'm genuinely curious, i have 2 paddles and i never use them, i might be losing on a lot of comfort in certain games

Loved this review and decided to order it. Placed my order on 12/14 and still haven't received it and it's 1/27. I sent them an email 1/14 just to ask for an update and still have no heard back. I did the track your order option on the website and stays it's been in quality testing since 1/11. So either it's garbage and they cant figure it out....or...i made such a great controller option and color scheme they are just in love and wont give it up....let's hope it's the latter ha.

@@adeuce1798 I’ve been using mine 2-3 hours a night(had for almost 3 months and it’s holding up very nice. My thumb sticks are starting to deteriorate should have upgraded. The controller is fantastic tho. No stick drift and all the buttons still function just as when I first starting using

Victrix will have the best warranty.

I can't wait for the dualsense edge. If battlebeaver or another company makes tighter tension thumbsticls for the DSE controller, the controller war will be over.

Great review. Also im looking to but either a BB or scuf reflex which would you reccomend in terms of which will last longer/quality and have u had any issues with these 2??

no issues with either of mine. keep in mind they could get stick drift at any time. scuf 6 month warranty, battle beaver i think is even shorter if I recall. I like the features and rear buttons of the battle beaver more.

Hypr controller or nagashock for war zone?

I need a PS5 Xbox layout controller with gyro and vibration. I can get a $15 PS4 controller with that sooooo what’s the f’n hold up????

You always have great videos. Best Xbox controller is the Gambit, best PS5 controller will be the Dualsesne Edge with an extended gamestop or bestbuy warranty.

They say that overclocking can mess up the remap chip and voids the warranty. What are your thoughts on that?

Hmm. Well the peeps over at HYPR watched the video carefully and said nothing, but yes as a rule of thumb doing something the manufacturer didn't intend voids your warranty...however having said that, the controller doesn't hold any memory onboard so it seems impossible to mess anything up. Also I have overclocked hundreds of controllers with no issues, and all the companies that make these controllers watched my reviews to see what I am doing with the products they send. :) does this alleviate any worries?

@@ctako13 go to controller atm back button layout is still mid but they have a new paddle system out right now, prices have gone up and customization is still lacking but still cheaper than Scuf. No stick drift after 6 months and my controller is clocked to 8000 mhz giving me a nice 0 ms of input delay per ds4windows. Recommendation is to skip on the buttons and try their new paddle/button system also to wait till the holidays to see if they do their set price unlimited customization deal again

I need a PS5 controller that has the shape of the xbox controller at the trigger, and still has haptic feedback. The PS5 controller is too sharp edged at the trigger for my arthritic hands whereas the xbox controller is rounded there. Has PS licensed their tech to anyone to put into their custom controllers? Alternately is there a way to use my xbox controller with PS5 games using a dongle and have the rumble at least work.

I’ve had my HYPR for one month and I’m having stick drift in the left stick so bad that I can’t navigate the PS5 Home Screen. Stick drift is not covered in the warranty.I DO NOT RECOMMEND A HYPR.

Finally got mine today after 2 months L1 and R1 are ridiculously loose wobbly and noisy for 1 and the part that goes on the controller speaker isn't on all the way it looks bent almost severely disappointed would not recommend

I get generic emails when I ask about an ETA for delivery. It’s almost 7 weeks now with nothing but “we are busy” I hope this recommendation doesn’t backfire in my face. (Not your fault btw)

Do not order from hypr controller, they’re customer service is garbage and orders take so long to get. If you read their cancelation and returning policy you’re better off just burning a $100. Ordered one before Christmas and still haven’t received it and customer service is non existent.

This company's garbage. If you have any issues don't expect ANY customer service. Once they have your money you're on your own. Good luck if you order from them. Also, regarding the tournament fps pad they sell for $150 on their site: the two rear buttons AREN'T mappable. No where in the description does it state that. And lastly, the deadzones on the pad I received are prevalent. I'd steer clear.

The contollef feels good in hand but you cannot program back buttons to L1 or L2 or R1orR2 not great buy Aim
