The official song of the sports card hobby should be send in the clowns. Influencer sounds like influenza for a reason. Also, the new Bowman product is a ripoff. Almost $300 for a one auto box. Miss the good ol days when I was buying 18 Bowman Jumbo at $289. Thank you Dan for all you do. Hobby is indeed full of hypocrisy. Redemptions should be eliminated!

Back in the 90's, basically the only redemption cards that existed for basketball (& others) were mainly for special sets like Crash the Game/Predictors etc, and also for the new Draft Class/Rookies.... Reason for these cause card companies actually released products BEFORE the start of the season.... Autographed cards were virtually always in packs (any auto redemptions were very rare) Oh how times have changed 🥴

I wouldn't mind seeing an option after so much time has passed where you can get a limited insert of same player. Something not available in boxes. Instead of points for things I don't want. They are card manufacturers

Some people have a goal - that motivates behaviours .. but than go about story telling in order to make it be behaviours acceptable; drinking cool aid .. the kicker is these types typically get upset when you don’t buy the b.s

The longer times on redemptions sounds great, but Topps will find a way to take advantage of it to their and not the buyers benefit

Keeping the redemptions open for a longer period of time helps retain the value of the unopened boxes on the market

you should really touch on that fanatics as a whole really doesnt own much other to creditors, and they keep borrowing making this huge bubble, it doesnt work out they way they plan good chance it gonna pop. IT a dangerous thing for the hobby .

Appreciate you mate. A few people have shared this sentiment before. For me, I don’t see this stuff as being negative, collecting cards is fun and that goes without saying. I think discussing these topics should be considered positive because it’s uplifting people knowledge and awareness and encouraging discussion.

Athletes should loose their contract and future contracts with card companies if they don't have their signed cards ready. And maybe give players incentives for on card autos.

I understand the sentiment for Topps but the modern version is just as bad as Panini

Fanatics are the biggest hypocrites in the industry. They are trying to take over every store in the world by forcing them to jump through their hoops or they will not get products. Mind you, Fanatics has no clue how to run a store but insist you follow their rules. What works in one area may not work in another but Fanatics still feels entitled to tell you how to operate despite most of these stores having more experience than anyone at Fanatics! They have had issues with every single product they released yet want to tell you how to operate. How about they fixed their own house before forcing me to destroy mine! Everyone complains about Breakers but if Fanatics policies force most of the stores to close, Breaking will be the ONLY way most people have access to product! The only difference is Fanatics will keep more of the profit & you will be forced to buy from their breakers only! Fanatics will collapse this industry within the next 10 years. I do not care what anyone says. Everything we said would go wrong has happened & were correct on every aspect. We will be correct on that also.
