Hypocrisy has always been more about following trends, rather than starting them (from standard swedeath to standard melodeath). Their "dude aliens lmao" concept probably makes them more niche than they otherwise would be, too. They've got a pretty reasonable amount of recognition, all things considered.

They are part of the melodeath scene, yes, but in my opinion they put their own sound on it which is quite unique. Definitely not a band that follows trends or sounds like "standard melodeath".

That was almost 18 years ago! I kicked myself in the ass for thinking it because he (They All) KILLED IT! Even the Pain material just keeps getting better.

I have had Major depressive Disorder since I was 15, they'd given me a lot of medicine. Ironically, all you need is yourself, not the medicine to recover. I ditch all my medicine when I was 18, it's been hard of course, like a drug addict, being relapsed. But depression is like asthma, you can't really recover from it, but what you can do is, controlling it and just manage it. 23 and still alive, it's hard when you're having a breakdown of course, but then again i taught myself " get over it, someone else had worse than you. relax, enjoy the ride. it's nothing but a moment."

Hypocrisy is a world reference in death metal. This band never disappoints.

Awesome song. The lyrics really hit me with this song . I’m 51 and have been taking nerve medicine and three different antidepressants daily for the past 27 years. The message in this song really is the truth, once you start taking these kind of meds your mind and personality seem to change, but not in a bad way for me personally. It’s a struggle for me to make it through each new day. But it’s this kind of music that keeps me going every day. I’m looking forward to the new album coming out. I’ve been a fan of hypocrisy from the beginning. Thanks for such a great song about an out of control stigma.

Why don't you try natural supplements/herbals? I changed from a lot toxic meds to natural healing herbs and I feel and look better than ever, also am not addicted like I used to be to the meds. Tulsi, Rhodiola Rosea, passion flower, gotu kola, ashwagandha. All of them work against depression and so does legal CBD hemp. Good luck!

I am 45 yrs old . I start listening metal from the age of 5 ( thanks daddy). As you can imagine i have seen it all. The rebels that turned out attention whores and just going for the money and fame. Now i am shocked with this clip. A tear fell from my tired eyes. This is how metal supposed to be . Aggressive , pissed off and fighting the powers that be. Congratulations guys

Hypocrisy is imo Peter's best work!!! I adore early In Flames, but unfortunately they get really bad after Clayman.. Dark Tranquility on the other hand, they never seem to disappoint! Highly recommended!

a mid 40 year old friend of mine said when he was 25 years old (my age) he went into a cd store and bought every single cd album that had a nice or edgy album cover and that is how he got into all the metal genres. I'm already into metal but I did the same on Google images. looked up metal cd album covers. saw the cd cover and decided to listen to it. and it was soo worth it. I even bought their CD. 😊

Finally one mainstream METAL band with BALLS, saying what's need to be said like metal once used to. Thanks guys! ----------- EDIT: And all those people making a big deal out of the "mainstream" thing take it easy, ok? I just meant they are kinda famous. Emerging bands ARE singing about this kind of stuff, but big ones are being veeeery quite. Lamb of God for example, is all about "Down with the system" philosophy and is been dead quite these past years regarding this issue.* And I would say that Peter Tägtgren, the ex-singer of Pain that has 19 million views on the song "Shut your Mouth", a guy who's had a huge project with Till Lindemann and the owner of the label "The Abyss"** would hardly at this point of his career can make any song that would be considered "emerging" or "underground" or "subculture", come on guys. That's unfair to truly emerging artists. *Yes, the song is not directly about the vaccines, but honestly, you think they would have sung about this regardless of the pandemic?? This song hit f’ckin hard…I have had a bone disease since I was born. They fed me all kinds of pain meds, surgeries, more meds…For years I just wanted to walk right into traffic, leave this place. I found a Doctor who helped me get off 90% of all my meds, but also all of my pain meds which I had been taking for 50 years, and even though I did get over them, it was the darkest time of my life, yet a miracle because I made it through. Not long after, My Doctor was released for NOT prescribing medications he thought, and would hurt that patient in the long run. It shows how greedy, evil, manipulative Futher Muckers they are!💯

First time I listened to Hypocrisy, I was a life-time fan immediately, and always praised their early albums, but this song that is coming out on the new album, Worship, it really hit me emotionally. You are in for a treat my friend. Check out their full Summerbreeze 2002 show, absolutely phenomenal. Their guitar tones are mind blowing always but that show was on a different level!

Wow, the contrast between the smooth melodies and hard hitting riffs. Drumming is really solid and the vocals are brutal. What a great track!

Ну хз, что ты имеешь ввиду. Эта песня похожа на Soldier of Fortune с предыдущего альбома, только чуть менее мелодичная. Хотя, конечно, дэта здесь и правда немало, пусть и блэковая составляющая не пропала.

The lyrics reminded me of something I heard a few years ago. I got insights to a pharmaceutical company during my studies, when I talked to a former manager of their company. He said their goal is basically making medicine where you feel that it helps but you still end up to need more of it, because it doesn‘t cure you completely. Just makes you realize how stupid we humans are, valuing money over the well-being of others.

Great song with great lyrics!

Like everyone, what struck me most is how good Peter sounds. Man, this makes me want to listen to Nightmares Made Flesh, lol.
