Let me explain what this song is about for those who wondering. This song is literally verses from the chapter "Apocalypsis" or "Apocalypse" speaking about the end of the humanity as it is written in the Holy Bible. The thing is that Rotting Christ built so much tension, black atmosphere and agony through the whole song which is sucking you in and it feels like you are in the Apocalypse. Phenomenal.

From what I've seen that's very typical in the Greek Black Metal scene. There's plenty of songs in this style, starting off with melodic guitars and slowly getting heavier (can't really explain it better). I heard this last week for the first time live in Greece for Athens Rock 2023. I am now a fan !!

I love how in every verse you can hear the conflict between the earth (gaia), this calm choir, and the aggressive assault by the angels of the apocalypse (heaven). Absolutely epic and masterfully written.

The amount of power and depth behind this composition is beyond captivating; I couldn’t even begin to explain how enraptured I am by this song.

todd marcius I agree.I just wanted to give popular songs their lyrics,but Darklyrics.com hadn't the translation of the lyrics for Χ Ξ Σ so I tried on google to give me a help,without noticing that google not just don't translate it correctly,but also replace some words with some ridiculous ones.As it was said,humans have something better then their creation.Anyway,thanks a lot for the help :3

todd marcius In ancient greeks the letters had also nummeric values, so Α = 1, Β = 2, Γ = 3, .. I = 10, Θ = 20. So Χ= 600, Ξ = 60, but the Σ is actually wrong, the letter for 6 didnt make it to modern greek, it was smillar to S but more thunder like and called "Stigma", sound like "ST", for practical reasons the band use the Σ letter. Χ Ξ Σ sound like he-ks(e)-sh(e) or st(e).

To specify more,it translates as "according to your own personal demon"(but keep in mind demon had a different meaning in ancient Greece,it meant something like an angel, definitely nothing negative in it)

I an am old school rocker. I love Black Sabbath, I was blown away the first time I heard the song. I also listened to the live version and they sound as good live. I am not the fondest of the name but the music is amazing.
