If someone doesn't reciprocate they shouldn't be in your circle. Let them be, they aren't worth the time to convince or "demanding respect" from. You aren't going to win everyone's heart. I learned that a long time ago. Earning respect from someone is a lot different than demanding it from them. In the 1st they see something in your ethos and want to better themselves. And will bend-over backwards to help you and 2nd is bulling them into compliance with your wishes especially if you're an authority figure to them and if you are that just gets them to find other people up the ladder to get around talking to you or doing just enough by you to not get fired. Sorry if I went on a rant :) I think I know what you meant. You just want to show people who would otherwise take advantage of your good nature that you aren't someone to mess with. It's like putting up a security sign in the front window of your house to deter intruders.

Because of him I changed my life so much. He must be an embodiment of some otherworldly force that represents virtue." This is a magnificant meditation, addresses a lot of rigth on issues. I was hoping you might consider doing a meditration which addresses the closing thoughts on this meditation. That being "What do I like about this person. And What Can I learn From This Person". I feel a follow up meditation that addressed these two thoughts would really tie into the theme of the No More Mister Nice Guy meditation nicely. Thank you for your work, it is helping a lot of people.

I even scrolled past it a few times thinking "why would I want to stop being nice?" but glad after a few times I gave it a go and bought Dr Glover's book. I was originally looking for hypnosis on drug addiction but by going into this is slowly getting to the bottom of the behavior before the drugs came in, although I don't think I've made it past 15 minutes without sleeping. Just wanted to thank you as you've helped me along with so many others!

@Dogman It's a problem when the need to be a good girl/guy coerces you from doing the right or correct thing for either yourself or for them. A good girl could lead people on she's not interested in because she's afraid of hurting their feelings. A good girl might avoid bringing to attention her needs or boundaries that are being crossed because conflict is the opposite of people pleasing. She might hold in anger and resentment until it explodes. She might be nice and giving to the point of being self-sacrificing, not because she genuinely wants to, but because she feels obligated to. And now imagine finding out that the person who was so nice to you was only doing it because she was too afraid to let you know what she was really feeling. That there was some problem that was tearing her up making her feel worse and worse when you thought everything was fine, something you would have been happy to do something about but you never got a chance to because she was too busy being a 'good girl' to communicate her needs. Being a 'nice guy' or 'good girl' is more than just being nice or good, it's when you feel compelled to be that way even when you shouldn't. Being cognizant of the other person's feelings and being assertive enough to communicate and protect your personal boundaries is important for everyone, guy or girl.

First time done. Starting therapy next week and will use this too. Anyone else just starting out? Could use an accountability buddy.

I have requested many many times that you might please do another Rain City Dreams, but I never got a response. I know you likely wish to branch out, but so many others have agreed with me, that the rain along with the perfect comforting monologue is our favorite one! Here's another request from my other sorority sisters: Would you do another Sleep Hypnosis for Cosmic Voyage Dreaming? That is the 2nd one we listen to at night. I love Cosmic Voyage so much bc It leaves so much room for imagination, and it quickly and easily puts me into a deep trance state that I never knew the mind was capable of! Thank you for all your work, it's amazing. I rarely use anyone else' work. I wonder...did you ever imagine this would be your path in life? Comforting others (many others! 236,000+ many more) using hypnosis? Maybe u found your soul purpose. It seems like it is, and you are a blessed man to find your purpose! Sending gratitude and much love and happiness your way! Kristy :D

It's not a bad idea to be nice as long as you're nice to yourself as well as those who merit your nicety - not patronizing and disingenuous.

Thanks again Michael, this one is absolutely amazing, stumbled upon it, and thought this is me. And whoa what a change. I struggled with conflict, but now the thought of it makes me happy for the opportunity to change it. Side note. Anxiety almost completely gone... Dunno why tho.

Upon listening for over weeks now and reading the book by Dr Glover. My life's worth and acceptance as a Man has changed me for the better. I am learning to become the protagonist and not the victim. Thank you.

I read this book and then found your hypnosis. Thank you. I'm using it regularly now, along with your others. Do you have a CPTSD related Hypnosis? I've also been researching the Anima/Animus in Jungian Psychology. It's our relating function. If men get our Anima imprint early in life from our mother or other significant female care giver, then what if it were a faulty imprint? And is there an Hypnosis that would help to re-imprint the Limbic Mind with a whole and healthy Anima

I think this applies so much to women as well, even more than men. Women are expected to give to others constantly, so this would likely help them as well :)

@@glitchinthematrix555 indeed. And men have to hide themselves and cater both out of requirement and fear. The fear caused by being required to act a certain way due to the harsh accusations that may ensue if not up to a woman's standard in society.

"Nice guy" syndrome is just a male version of people pleaser lol. So yes this can apply to both women and men. A healthy person is more in the middle ground. Not too giving, but also not to the point of being a jerk. Being able to be kind to others while still being true to yourself. That's what I believe meditation does for everyone. Helps find the middle ground. Men do have it harder though as we are expected to pretty much be superficially "strong" and have no emotions. So the "nice guy" is more frowned upon then the "nice girl".

I have started to listening to this every night before sleep, very good and relaxing and I can feel my confidence bettering. One question: does it matter if you change the perfect, calm man behind the door? For me he can change from day to day, sometimes its a moviecharacter and sometimes its a version of me. Thank You for your awesome videos!

Michael Sealey, this is just a random suggestion: what if you made a hypnosis video about how to multi-task better for some people, since multi-tasking can be a little stressing or sometimes difficult to do, though we would have to achieve that skill.

Humans can't multi-task. If what you meant is how to deal with many tasks at hand when you're being pressured, try organizing your time and understanding your limits.
