I experienced the GTP Cadillac in person. And got to walk on a metal bridge above the track as it went full throttle 9 feet below. Absolutely fucking awesome car.

@@anshumankakralia7542 the beauty of the current WEC grid is that there are so many manufacturers, many of whom I didn’t list because they don’t sound good. The Ferrari 499P is my fave here, and I don’t think it sounds amazing.

Yeah, if isotta can get 2 cars. It's the first year for them like Lamborghini and BMW so maybe they will become better. Still a shame that Vanwall was kicked out for it

It’s hard for me to pick a favorite - I’m so happy that there are so many different manufacturers participating, when sometimes Le Mans was lucky to have even two participating. The race was exciting and colorful, and I’m looking forward to Aston-Martin joining the fray next year. But yeah, Caddy takes the engine note award!

This is the best time to be a fan of endurance racing!

I spent my WE at Le Mans and the LMP2 had by far the best sound of the entire field. Particularly when they all moved as a tight peloton

​@@MonicaHolly143 1st season back, 5th in the Championship, I'd say they're doing okay, Cadillac on the other hand still 2nd last in the Championship and Ferrari going back to back. BMW did pick up a podium with the M4 which is doing pretty damn well against it's supercar rivals considering it's basically a saloon car

@_bvck Everything else in the video sounded better... charge it to a lousy clip, maybe. After some preeschool research i found that the engine shares no similarity to the V634's used in F2 cars, other than it's shell. It's so overly modified to the point that every component inside has been changed. There is no connection between the two.

I didn’t actually realise it was so heavily modified, makes sense, but it still absolutely has that same overarching tone that the V634 has. Plus that lovely F2 style reliability reared its head at Le Mans so there must be at least a few similarities lmao.

@samuelkletz6708 it's what Toyota does, they wait for the others to leave then pick the bones of that series and rack up titles the easy way, look at the WRC, it's just Ford, Hyundai and Toyota. The WEC used to be like that but now that the big boys have returned order has been restored, this season in F1 isn't as predictable as McLaren and Ferrari are both in the thick of things and a resurgent Mercedes Benz has also picked up the pace

We need Acura here too. Wish Vanwall and Glickenhaus were here too just to add more competition. I know they are not the best but just seeing them there is enough. Acura in the other hand is doing a great job in IMSA, it was a big contender to Cadillac and Porsche as well.

The ARX-06 is extremely fast in IMSA racing, as was the Cadillac. If Acura does end up deciding to bring the ARX-06 over to WEC, I expect it would run somewhere near the Cadillacs.
