This was Ozzy's opening song on tour. So good. I love how Randy would augment his guitar sounds live vs the album tracks. Still messes me up thinking about where Randy would be if he'd lived.

Ozzy was the happiest ever while playing with Randy Rhodes. No telling what Randy would have done had he lived.

It's not even about Randy's speed.. His tone, feel & musicality were unmatched...

Can't ever go wrong with Ozzy! 1981. That whole album is just yeah man!!!!!

Ozzy has great stage presence. When he's not singing he is his band's (whether it's Sabbath or his own band) number 1 fan. Headbanging, dancing around. It's great.

This is one of my favorites 😊 there is a obvious difference in Ozzy when Randy was with him. Omg that outfit kills me😂 I think his ex wife or her mom can’t remember which used to make his stage clothes

A close second was his lineup with Zakk Wylde, Geezer Butler and Randy Castillo (RIP). But yes, this is my all time favorite lineup. 🤘

@@jamiemacdonald436 I’m gonna have to politely disagree. Even though I’m a Zakk fan, I like the albums with Jake E. Lee better than the Zakk albums. Just my personal opinion though.

Nah...Bob Daisley needs to be on bass. Killer bassist. Hell, he wrote most of Ozzy's good material.

Ozzy's ballads are awsome. Listen to Goodbye to Romance from Blizzard of Oz. Every Ozzy album has a ballad. They are absolutely brilliant. Can't beat Randy Rhoads.

Seems like most fans only remember Randy jamming with Ozzy,but another great video you need to check out is Randy's live solo with Quiet Riot it's awesome as well

Ozzy one of a rare few who has played in 7 different decades!

OZZY OSBOURNE: THURSDAY MARCH 18TH 1982: RANDY RHOADS LAST SHOW AT THE KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM: DIARY OF A MADMAN TOUR: Upon entering the coliseum after buying my tour shirt and ticket 🎫 stub processing: I noticed the stage was set up like a medieval castle with arches and bats 🦇 flying around the top of them. There was a staircase leading up to Tommy Aldridge’s Drumkit. The top left of Tommy was where Donny Airey’s keyboards were set up. Stage right and left had to cages with which Randy Rhoads would appear from the floor stage right and Rudy Sarzo stage left. OZZY had a throne of which he would appear out of to start the show to Over the Mountain. Tommy had his drum tech dressed as an Executioner stand beside his kit with his arms crossed. The staircase had a small section that would open and a small dwarf named: Ronnie (after Ronnie James Dio the new singer for Black Sabbath-replacing OZZY) and hand OZZY towels and water between songs. Little did we all know that later in the show: the executioner would bring the dwarf out to be hung from the rafters and later he would cut off his head using a guillotine! At the end of the show OZZY climbed onto a giant mechanical hand that OZZY stood on top of and launched unspecified meat 🥩 🍖 into the audience! Of course it was all an a theatrical act as the dwarf appeared to take a bow with OZZY and the band. When OZZY smiled we noticed he put vampire 🧛‍♀️ teeth in! We laughed hard! I went to the show with my friend Richard and his older brother Greg who was 18 at the time. We were 13. Greatest show on earth! Richard and I were both terrified and thrilled at what we witnessed! Unfortunately the next morning all that excitement and energy was gone as we learned that Randy Rhoads perished in a plane crash in Florida. Richard and I played drums but Greg played guitar 🎸 and he definitely took it the hardest! One of the greatest guitarist of our generation and had just won the new guitarist of the year by Guitar Player magazine. Rest In Peace Randy Rhoads your music lives on! Rudy Sarzo on Bass

Randy and bassist Rudy sarzo played in quiet riot together before Randy left to join ozzy and when Randy died in the plane crash rudy and the drummer tommy Aldridge left to join whitesnake and Peter rudy went on to be in DIO

So, as you guys saw that footage was recorded in Rochester, New York, where I’m from and fun fact, my own father, got to meet and hang out with Randy Rhoads. And yeah, the bass player that is Rudy Sarzo he’s a dick.😂

There are two types of people in this world. Those who say it was Randy Rhodes who was the Greatest to play guitar and those who are wrong! Since it was obviously Randy not Eddie Van Halen.

Suggestion: Black Sabbath - Iron Man (Live) 👍💯

Randy Rhodes was to Ozzy what George Martin was to the Beatles, lightning in a bottle.

Randy Rhodes was light years ahead of Eddie Van Halen. Randy is easily the best guitarist coming out of California. Eddie was extremely overatteded.
