I finally have a control journal that works for me and love it. I don't wipe off the marks until they are all checked off if I don't get to them each week. That way I know where to pick up next time I'm in the zone. EARLY this morning I couldn't sleep so I went to the laundromat to wash the oversized comforters which won't fit in my machine. Antiprocrastination day came early for me this week. Checked that one off from next week. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Reading my mind again? I have some CJ basics, but have still been feeling lost about organization. This is EXACTLY what I needed today to help me get focused...not just the content, but the kick in the bahookie (?) to get me back on track with what I had already started. Thank you, thank you, thank you. One more thing I wanted to thank you for: You are kind enough to let us know when you are having a “blah” sort of day and giving us the opportunity of watching you work your way through it, doing what needs done even when your bratty side is telling you to rebel, or whatever, and making it possible for us to see it still CAN be done...and once it’s done (or even started), how much better we can feel about the day and about ourselves. Go You and Go Us! So glad you share with us. 💗🥰

I would be lost without my control journal. Each day it brings me back to tasks I need to do. "Oh yes, I still need to scoop out the cat litter". "Wet clothes to dryer". I don't stress if I don't get it all done. But I do feel very accomplished when I do. I am the person with the long list of things to do each day. But it has worked for me and it doesn't take as much time as I used to think it would. I got some awesome ideas from this video for improvement. For one, our power went off a few days ago. I was having a terrible time finding the number to call to report it the power company. Almost cursing, "why isn't the number on the front of this phone book". I am going to make that emergency telephone number chart. Love ya Diane.

I love my control journal too. It helps me with staying focused. I recently updated mine because we are now semi empty nesters because my daughter is at university. I simplified my journal to incorporate new routines. I like the ideas of things to add to mine. The emergency numbers are great because changes are if the power is down then the WiFi doesn't work. I also have a holiday journal which needs update now. Happy Weekend!

I'm still unpacking and have not yet found my Housekeeping notebook! I'll work on that tomorrow... However, I am following the Zones with you as my focus for not only cleaning, but getting each room put together and "finished". Last week I got the extra bedroom and hall bathroom done, and this week I did my bedroom and bath. This included things like making curtains, hanging pictures, and finding a place for everything! Last night I finally slept in a perfectly clean AND TIDY bedroom that looks lovely. Next week I will work on the family room in the lower level... Where the last of the boxes are stashed... And I hope to find MY notebook!

I've read her book and tried following the steps on her website, but I could never quite follow it. Your videos have been a great help. I've finally been able to grasp the main concept, adapt and apply it to my life. It gives me such peace of mind to see my house clean, know that I have a plan and not feel overwhelmed. One adaptation that has helped me that you mention in this video is to adapt the Daily Focus to what works for you. I work night shifts, 3 on, 3 off, 3 on, 5 off. I've really struggled to get a good routine. So what I've done is instead of going by the day of the week, I go by which off day it is. So Day off 1 is my errand day, day off 2 is Home Blessing Day, Day off 3 is Misc Day (Car, purse, pet, outdoor), day off 4/Work day 1 is Desk Day (since it's a sitting down job and I can mostly rest before my first night shift of three). Every other week I have the 5th day off which is my Me day, that's when I take care of myself, do fun things, go out on a date, etc. The days I work I don't do much, just pretty much sleep, do my routines, spend the little time I have with family and take care of myself. It's been working so far. I just love to have a system so my brain can rest.

Thank you! Great time of year to refresh the journal before the Halloween through Valentines holiday season. I am replacing the customization-noted pages with fresh lists of what works for me. I am adding adding a "telephone workout" page to help me remember all the exercises my Physical Therapist is giving me. I love putting the speaker phone on and getting my PT exercises done at the same time. I am adding a page to check/ measure number of glasses of water that I am drinking (otherwise I cannot remember). Wednesday is now "Weigh-in Wednesday and Anti-procrastination Day." At the back, I am adding one page for each holiday so I can make "brain dump" notes as I think of things. AN IDEA IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE. ❤🍁❤🎅❤🍗❤🥂❤🎃❤🎁❤🛷❤🏖❤⛄🧹📕🧺🛒
