Oh...yeah...I've been chasing variable displacement charge pumps. :)

1. In neutral conditions, where pump A & B ports are having equal charge pressure and if external flow comes back to the pump A or B port how the pump behaves. 2. What will be the response time of the pump to change the swashplate angle. 3. When the pump is stroking the ‘X’ flow on A port & the return oil coming back to B port is ‘X + 50 LPM’ due to the falling load acting on B port, how pump behaves.

Case drains on pumps are usually taken from the top to ensure the pump case is always filled with oil.

And inching valve is used in a DA control pump to bleed off servo / control pressure so that you can have high engine speed but low swash angle

DA control means speed dependent control…increasing rpm = increasing displacement.
