Linum Vitae (Latin) is the hardest wood. We use it for prop shaft bearings on commercial salmon trollers. This wood's oil content makes it self lubricating as a shaft bearing. We use machine tools to make such a bearing. The wood bearing produces a sound more amenable to salmon than conventional modern bearings.

Very nice. But a little unfair to the sandal wood, since the grain was in different direction. Also, I would love to see how Multiplex would perform against natural wood. Its real fun watching your videos. Keep up the good work

Being this wood is so hard I would suspect a very stringy wood like elm would beat everything at resistance to breaking.

The way the sandalwood was cut was super weak. Great cut for looking good, horrible for strength, in any wood.

There's another wood called: "Petrified Wood" the hardest wood in the world... but it's protected by Federal law these days. It's in Arizona aka "The Painted Dessert." 💥🤣

Was that English oak? English Oak is stronger than most other oaks in the world due to climate. Church doors are made with it over here
