Absolutely!!!! I was a freshman in highschool when Sound Of White Noise came out. At first I was mad that Anthrax got rid of Joey Belladonna, but I did not know at first that John Bush was his replacement. When I first listened to the first video Only I loved it immediately. I was already an Armored Saint fan and I knew that John Bush was a phenomenal lead singer. I remember watching this very performance on MTV when I used to watch The Jon Stewart Show. I remember Mike Judge was the guest of this episode and Jon Stewart asked Mike Judge what would old man Anderson think of Anthrax and then he said that it was all a bunch of noise to him in old man Anderson's voice. Hilarious.

For me, without question, one of the top 10 metal albums of all time. They came back with Bush and fucking FORCE. Beautiful album, endlessly fun to play on guitar, and endlessly fun to sing

sarajamus I'm pretty sure the rest of the band felt the same way. If you notice, they actually look happy and thoroughly enjoying the fuck out of the moment :-) I can't say I get the same vibe from them when they perform with Joey.

Brings back a ton of memories of that time period. You know, in the beginning I had a hard time accepting the John Bush fronted Anthrax, but after living with Sound of White Noise for a few months, I finally got it. I bought the cassette roughly 2 days after it came out, back in May of 1993. Popped it the deck in my truck, and then didn't listen to it again until maybe November of that same year. At that point, starting in November, I listened to it every single day through the end of the year, going into 1994. I remember thinking to myself after hundreds of plays, aha, now I get it... 😂. SOWN is still to this day one of my favorite Anthrax albums, and one of my favorite albums from 1993.

My fav Anthrax album STILL....from start to finish it was just so epic

Unreal. I can never recall anyone nail the vocals as closely live as they arranged it in studio, other than him, with both Anthrax and Armored Saint. fucking Legend :-)

Aunque me gusta mucho la era Belladona, Sound of White Noise es un disco perfecto.

As a hip-hop fan in the early nineties I came to Anthrax via Public Enemy. They did a song together in this era of Sound of White Noise so this was the first metal album I purchased. I was very impressed with the musicianship and the depth of the lyrics. Packed Rebellion was my "ish". Hy Pro Glo was my second favorite and Only Room For One More round out my top three tracks from this record. Made me know metal was more than just long hair and thrashing but music-less guitar riffs for suburban kids to let off some steam. The angst, the anger and the frustrations with posers was real and I identified with it.

I remember seeing this when it aired. Love this band & this album.

I remember watching this episode of The Jon Stewart Show back when it originally aired on MTV. Mike Judge was the guest and Jon Stewart asked Mike Judge what would old man Anderson think of Anthrax. Also right after Anthrax was done with this song they played Got The Time also , but the episode ended about a minute after it started. I was a freshman in highschool when this episode aired on MTV and it brought back many great memories big time. Thank you so much for posting this video.

Incredible album "Sound of white noise" 1993 but by 1995 the bottom fell out lead guitar player Danny Spitz left then thay got dropped by there record label too.

Totally underrated album and frontman !!! The best vocalist ANTHRAX has had in its entire existence.

Jon Bush is who Metallica wanted and considered for vocalist in the early days and that was probably why Anthrax hired him. When I was 14 I was head banging like a maniac at Cliff Burton’s feet as he poured his beer on me and I saw Jon Bush backstage laughing and smiling at me at he gave a nice hello. Armored Saint had opened for them for their first album.
