Absolutely. I saw John Bush live was with Armored Saint. They opened for Metallica and Y&T headlined. 1985. I thought he was a perfect fit for Anthrax.

+Gareth Alan Hahaha, yeah me too. I love Joey and never wanted to hear them when he was sacked but I eventually grew to love Bush. He's technically probably a better singer than Joey - and anyone saying otherwise should try singing along to either of them to see what I mean. Joey couldn't come close to nailing this which rather proves my point. John DOES have a better range. Although Joey is still a legend and perfect for the stuff he did with the band.

I saw Joey try to sing this live and he simply did not have the gravitas to pull this song from the deep places that it requires. I noticed they dropped it from their setlist a few days later. I have come to appreciate Joey -- he's a fun frontman with a good voice -- but he is no John Bush.

My first concert ever was Anthrax with White Zombie opening at Irvine meadows. I was like in 6th grade. John Bush's brother married my older half sister so i guess we are somewhat related lol. Anyway my first show got to go backstage and meet all the guys including Rob zombie let's just say that night had a major impact on my life

Imo Bush was the best anthrax vocalist by a mile and nailed it live every single time.This is the anthrax I loved the most.

I like the Belladonna era too. I just don't like him singing the John Bush shit. Leave it alone. Also, why is Belladonna singing like the fuckin cookie monster all of the sudden? Now he just sounds like everyone else. It was unique when he was the only singer of a thrash band to have a really high voice

I don't dislike Joey Belladonna, but John Bush is just one of the very best metal vocalists I have ever heard and seen, if not the best. Both JB come to think of it, like Jack Black.

Theres a lot of "what ifs" on metal What if Cliff survived? What if Dave wasnt kicked? What if Dimebag joined Megadeth when Dave asked him? What if Bush joined Metallica? What if Balloff survived and Kirk stayed with Exodus? What if Max Cavalera stayed with Sepultura? And many more.. we can just imagine

John Bush and David Draiman from Disturbed sound similar when John Bush decides to go into the high notes. Perhaps David was influenced by Anthrax?

Please refrain from mentioning John Bush & David Draiman in the same sentence. They are not even in the same class. Draiman may have a strong voice, but there's is very little authentic substance beneath it. Bush on the other hand is authenticity straight through. Pure gravitas!

This is by far one of their best songs and Joey can't sing it. 🤘

Bush's vocals suit the sound Anthrax wanted during this time. I'm not saying he is bad, just not to my taste- for me Joey Belladonna is the voice of Anthrax, they made their greatest music with him. I'm a massive Anthrax fan but I can't stand the Bush era one bit, I'm so thankful Joey is back. An incredible frontman, and singer- joint best with Metallica, live, out of the Big 4! Roll on the new album, Worship Music was amazing!

All of these "John Bush vs Joey Belladona" Arguments need to stop.. John Couldn't do Joeys Stuff As well as Joey and visa versa.. People are forgetting Joey in his prime and still to this day is phenomenal, I like both But prefer Joey as that is what I was raised listening too! Among the Living, Spreading the Disease, Persistence of time etc.. Both Great singers of a great band.. Real Anthrax fans wouldn't be such fucking pricks about it!
