I only heard this track for the first time yesterday 20/10/22. I’m 57 and can’t believe how I have missed this, utterly brilliant.

Actually I didn't know Anthrax had covered it until 2021. I have the Joe Jackson album (yes, album, I bought it before CDs )

Anthrax is the cover masters , I have never heard a cover that disappointed me from them ... Awesome song!!

Now that I'm in my 50's I get what people were saying back in the day. This is more punk than metal.

When I was a little kid my dad would play this song all the time and I always thought the lyrics were "chicken in my head."

It took me 30 years to find out that this song was a cover..mind blown!

This is why Frank Bello is amazing! He literally slapped a bass in thrash metal!

Saw these guys August 9th, 2018 with Napalm Death, Testament, Lamb of God and Slayer... best concert I have ever been to.

One of the few cover songs that I think is just as good as the original. Anthrax never disappoints. All these years later and I'm still coming back to them.

Watching & meeting face to face with ANTHRAX was incredible!! Also, having autographs is one of the greatest part!!

Anthrax deserved more success. They are awesome

After 20 years of listening, I recently became to love this band!

This is my favorite song by Anthrax. I love the upbeat tempo and the guitar work is awesome all the way around. And I love this guy's voice because he doesn't scream or deliver anger or anything like that, he actually sings - quite well I might add, which is rare for a thrash band.

Persistence of time is such an underrated album . Love it. It came out when I was a freshman in highschool. It was kinda the last hooray for them in my book and thrashmetal in general, cause it kinda went under ground. With the advent of " flying the flannel movement" ( grunge scene ), nu metal and progressive metal. punk was injected into it all. But thrash did not stay down for long, and all the different metal genre's.

Still one of my old school faves.

I'm pure energy when I listen to this.

Seems when ever I am running late to go somewhere this song starts playing in my head.

In the year 1987..........I was in London and saw Anthrax with Living Colour at the ol....... Hammersmith Odeon. That was one of the best shows I'd ever seen ........ever........... STATE of EUPHORIA was the album they were playing ..........aaah......good ol days when music was ......musical

I played the he'll out of fistful of metal when I was a kid living in a group home a few decades ago. You guys are partly why I learned guitar. Cheers thrax

Are you kidding? Joe Jackson was/is great! Especially compared to the shit music out these days! 'Look Sharp' was a definitive, defining moment in early 'new wave', as the new sound and direction was called way back then! Of course, they called this genre 'alternative music' after they called it 'new wave'.

Honestly, I'd say metallica has more prog tendencies than megadeth (especially MoP and AJFA). If anything, Megadeth is more jazz fusion mixed with thrash, especially considering they had jazz fusion players like Gar, Poland, and Menza

@@FarmersAreDummies Show No Mercy is really Venom inspired, its really First Wave of Black Metallish, same can be almost said with Hell Awaits but its leaning more on death side, and Reign In Blood is generally considered Protodeath or something like that Then they kind of lost it, but still the legacy of those three albums lived on

Sorry - this was a sub-par remake of a Joe Jackson song from 1979. I like Anthrax, but the original shines here.

I can remember when Anthrax toured back in 87 with Metallica,they were a HELL of a lot louder and faster and just rocked the crowds...the freaking memories y'all.
