Hwasa herself said this is not a song people would expect from her but she was going through a really hard time when PSY sent the song to her and it made her smile for the first time since days of crying, that's why she decided to release it. Basically she was under fire due to a performance at a University Festival because some sort of Parents association filed a complaint. Hwasa was even summoned by the police for questioning over allegations of indecent performance...interrogated for 3 hours like a criminal when male idols do so much more at University festivals, even simulate humping and no one complains. That's the reason for the police car in the mv. it seems surreal, I'm still so shocked about all this sh*t that's happening, I can only imagine what Hwasa is going through. Anyway I really like the song, it's such a mood booster. Go Hwasa, fight back those Joseon era ajummas then leave that County that's too small for you!

There are many opinions with this comeback, many people liked it and many others describe it as basic and commercial, something very similar to Meghan Trainor's style. Personally, knowing Hwasa's story and everything she had to go through regarding her physique and the criticism she had to go through over the years, this song hits different and I think no one could have embrace this concept better than her ❤️

it's a good song, i like the message, Hwasa looks & sounds great... just wish i liked the music more. something about the percussion and horns, to me, sounds a little too "basic radio pop?" idk, how to put it exactly, but i saw a comment elsewhere comparing it to Meghan Trainor, and like... they weren't wrong. i've seen many ppl comment how this felt like a downgrade compared to Hwasa's previous solo work (which i haven't listened to but i might now)

Please check out her previous work especially Twit, Maria, LMM and I’m a B. She wrote these so they are so personal to her. I love my body was written as a gift from Psy due to Hwasa being heavily criticized for her body and performances. Her solo work has been darker and sad but this is quite a change that she wanted a fun upbeat song.
