Hearing Rahul Deshpande for the first time. He has such a spiritual voice. You can just close your eyes and keep listening to him, non-stop. I hope someone notices his talent and dedication and he is rewarded. Amen !!

I fully agree with your thoughts and share the frustration that there is not enough live music venues anywhere in the world (atleast where I have ventured) compared to 1970’s and 80’s when I was growing up. Back then, every wedding had some live music in some form either the wonderful local marching bands, village musicians or invited artists, cafes and Restaurants had casual high class musicians performing in an accessible environment and concerts and musical events were easy to attend being less hyped up and less celebrity madness driven. Things have changed and the communities are run mainly under corporate interests and it seems that somehow the CD player is being considered a replacement to live music virtually everywhere, which is so not true and so frustrating and sad. I don’t go to the musical concerts which seem like a celebrity circus instead of a true display of art form. I hope that someday you will perform in UAE so that I could attend my current favourite artist’s performance. My best wishes for you
