Those good old days of Hindi move on Saturday evening. There were no TV guides, no trailers, no promotions. So you would not no which movie was playing until the titles rolled. The names of the lead actors always came at very end just before the movie title. So anticipation used to build up as the titles rolled. Very nicely sung as usual.

Your singing is a solid proof how in depth you have listened to these songs. Hats off. My guru always used to say, that we must first learn to listen meticulously, only then we can even attempt to voice it.

Rahul, again I will say the same thing..Breathtaking. Your voice always touch my heart and soul. Thank you.

Wait is it me not understanding anything or does the original have pretty heavy classical indian music influence? I thought it was raag based and I thought it had many many technical elements to it.. I mean, there are many classical indian "riffs" in the original throughout.. I'm really confused now 😅

@@tam6753 What I meant was he has not done it seemingly "classical" with unnecessary twists and sung it elegantly maintaining the original "classicalness":-) ... without losing the "many many technical elements" which fit in seamlessly... Hope you get my point.

It was originally composed and sung in Yaman raag. Why do you think it is not classical. Confused now.

Simply out of the world rendition. That 'tum se mohabbat ho gayi hai' was uff!!!! This song is a seesaw of high & low notes. You steered through it so beautifully and managed to create the same magic that Rafi saab's voice and Shammiji's intoxicating eyes had. What more can a person want!!

Musically, it's so innovative : with the start of "antara" it's steep up and suddenly, by next line, it lands so soft and so cushioned by Rafi Sahab's heavenly voice and doesn't feel odd, at all. This kind partnerships of Shankar Jaikishan ji & Rafi sahab have produced eternal gems in plenty, like "ye mera prem patra padh kar..." & others! Now I come to the way Rafi Sahab used to embelish the lyrics with his special qualities!!! If one listens to his one word "mohabbat" in this song, one would be completely floored. It's rendered so layered, so soft, so drenched with love, with heartiest emotions, with heartfelt request about convincing the opposite character about this character's sincerity in love......uff..... utterly indescribable!!!!
