Was it about about the time I cooked a meal for my mother for the first time and she couldn't stop smiling while eating it, even if it didn't taste all that good? Was it the last hug I gave to my best friend years ago? बीती हुई बतियाँ कोई दोहराये भूले हुए नामों से कोई तो बुलाये चाँद... चाँद की बिन दीवाली बिन दीवाली रतियाँ जागी हुई अँखियों में रात न आई रैना बीती न बिताई रैना... WoW Rahul… You sang it so beautifully… the transition from Lata ji’s भूले हुए नामों से कोई तो बुलाये.. चाँद.. to Bhupinder ji’s चाँद की बिन दीवाली.. बिन दीवाली रतियाँ was a master stroke.. true transition from Lata ji’s style to Bhupinder ji’s style and that too in your original voice brought the beauty to the whole song! BTW… I think it is not 'चाँद की बिन दिवानी as I used to think when I was young and not even 'चाँद की बिंदी वाली’… it is actually 'चाँद की बिन दीवाली, बिन दीवाली रतियाँ ’ काली रात में चाँद की रोशनी से दीवाली की तरह जगमगाती रात का ज़िक्र किया गया है इस गाने में... this is truly my opinion after listening to the song many times & trying to gather the meaning from the scene :) It is one of my favorite songs of RDB… I must say his compositions combined with Gulzar ji’s lyrics create scene by itself! Such songs get to your heart so easily to create an emotional turbulence… especially when they are sung at this tempo! Rahul… I strongly feel that this tempo which is around 80 bpm is the best to be enjoyed especially in this ‘बैठकी’ style of listening which we are experiencing right now. So… please do not change anything… it is actually matching the heartbeats :) So there it goes… feeling connected while being disconnected OR disconnected while still connected (in the universe) through the frequencies of the sound you send and we receive.. to quote your own words. यह गीत श्लेश अंलकार युक्त हे.चांद की बिंदी वाली रतिया और चांद की बिन दीवाली .जब पूनम की रात हे तब लगता है कि आसमान मे भगवान ने रात को चंद्रमा की बिंदी लगाकर उसका स्रंगार किया हे।वहीं जब दीवाली बिन चन्द्रमा के अंधियारी रात मे आती हे तो असंख्य दीपक जलाकर उजाला करना पड़ता हे।

This is one of my mum's top favourite songs by Lata ji. She is very VERY biased when it comes to Lata ji, and rarely ever likes anyone else's renditions of her songs. But when I played this for her, she literally had tears in her eyes. To quote what she said, "Fakta ek manus aahe zo Lata Mageshkar chi gani sundar pane gau shakta aani mi convince zhale aahe ki toh Rahul aahe." I'm still reeling in the shock of her words haha. This is truly one of your absolute best covers. *goosebumps all over*

Loved the way you sang and explained the application of beautiful Raag Bihag. I believe we are loving your voice without much of instruments. Very light piano is just perfect. Sir please keep it flowing..... a big pranam to maestro like you.

What a wonderful, divine voice. Love the free flowing exploratory mode of singing. You are clearly one of the best classical musicians I have come across. I have also been looking out for music teachers but wasn't moved by anyone's singing enough to ask this -Do you teach music, Rahul ji?
