Gas tank was removed as it was being replaced, you dont need to do it for a belt change.

Nice video; it helped, thanks... Couple pointers for anyone else doing a similar job (mine is a Husqvarna YTH1342): 1) it looks like you are missing a "belt keeper" that bolts on under (against unibody) the idler pulley. Part #532 17 55-56 on my schematic. 2) pause the video at 5m25s to see the proper routing. V is around the transmission pulley, straight run through the belt keeper to the engine pulley (still V side), then directly around the clutch pulley (still v side), then directly to the idler pulley (flat side of belt), and back to the transmission pulley 3) like you I removed the PTO clutch, but now that I've played around I believe the belt should be removable by simply keeping the clutch pedal depressed - hopefully somebody can confirm Thanks again! -ace

Hi Hank, is the engine pulley that's attached to the PTO clutch suppose to spin freely like the other pulleys or no?

I have a Husqvarna YTH2448 Riding Mower that I would like to flip on its side in order to replace the steering bar because it is nearly impossible to remove the bolt & nut at the end closest to the steering column. Do I need to remove the gas and oil before setting it on its side? Will turning it onto its side hurt the inside of the engine in any way perhaps from oil getting into areas where they shouldn't? I'll remove the deck before flipping it.

Be careful with that carb when you take it apart if it’s a Nikki, there is a very small brass jet that fell out on the first one I ever rebuilt. I didn’t realize it fell out and the engine ran fine until I engaged the blade. Had to go on KZread to find out what was missing, found the jet on the shop floor and she ran perfect after. This might be a good topic for a future video.

Try and get something on the other end to hold the bolt in place, or try and use an impact and you may get lucky

My yth2348 goes in reverse, but not forward. I figure it's a clutch problem but then again I dont really know much. What do you think it could be?

The tank was removed to be replaced. Not because it had fuel in it.
