Those sway arms fall off. You have to drill a hole on the end with the ears and use a washer and cotter pin. I have a 54” and I mow 2 rough acre’s every 4 days in the summer in Florida and it’s a long summer. I’m going on my 6th season. My fabricated deck is nearly like new. My sway arm came off though. Bent all up when I went in reverse. Had to get new one and modify it. One thing I don’t like is if build up gets caught under the front wheel guides it will plow a rut and dig up turf. I have to keep adjusting the deck height using the adjustment on the front of the deck.

That rod that was dangling off the backside of deck is the Anti-Sway bar...I think it helps keep the deck from moving side to side. I have same model as your mower and my anti sway bay came off at the same spot as yours...not a big deal to reinstall.

The operator's manual says the blade bolts should be torqued to 45-55 ft lbs. Righty Tighty, lefty loosey is correct. This guy is hard on his equipment and he knows it. Thanks for watching.

At the 2:30ish mark of the video you show a rod "that is supposed to be mounted up under the tractor". Does that rod serve any purpose and where does that loose end attach to?

The loose end of that rod goes into a hole on the frame of the tractor when you mount the deck. I think it helps stabilize the deck.

I will. For the record, the owner of this tractor mows his grass a lot and very short. It takes him about 3 hours every time. He is not easy on his equipment. Your tractor will probably last longer than his. Thanks for watching.
