Husqvarna TE 150i review based on 50 hours riding

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Full review of the Husqvarna 2020 TE 150i. I’ll talk you through what I think of the bike including its size, capability, weight, suspension, quality and performance.
Note these are my opinions and may vary from others but I’ve tried to be as honest as possible. I genuinely love this bike!
Review based on 50 hours of riding over two months, including enduro and trail riding, a little motocross and technical hard enduro in a range of conditions [including the Valley’s Extreme hard enduro in Wales].
Updates since filming:
- 150i has incredibly smooth engine and with a 54.5 mm stroke, the crankshaft is perfectly balanced to reduce vibrations [no balance shaft like the 250i and 300i]
Official stats on www.husqvarna-motorcycles.com... have changed:
- Suspension travel 300mm [rear / front]
- Weight 99.6kg
- Seat height 95cm

@@TheGirlOnABike A decision was taken and I am now the proud owner of a 2020 TE 150i :-) I am very happy with the bike performance, it is super fun to ride and it has plenty of power. My only concern is longevity. The engine failed and required a top-end rebuild after 25 hours of gentle use. The expenses were covered by the dealer, but this is not sustainable.

Excellent review and bike! I just got the 21 TE150i in the Fall - I was only able to get maybe 5 hours on it before winter, but OMG - it's so fun! You're so right in that you have to RIDE the bike, use all the gears, etc. So different to ride compared to my 12 200 xc-w and my husband's 19 TE300i (which was fun, but you can lug it around in 2nd gear on most tight, treed single track which doesn't make a better rider, lol!). Love all your videos, very helpful!

All through my twenties I always picked the fastest bikes for enduro riding. 450's, 300 2 smokers. Had a massive off when I borrowed a friends bike and hit a tree head first. I haven't ridden in the bush for over 5 years. I miss it trail riding, but I'm over trying to be the quickest. I like the idea of these small lightweight 2 strokes and challenging myself with technical, almost trials style riding. Looks like a fun little weapon. Cheers from 🇭🇲

Great review, far better than the one I just did! I have a 18 TE150 and love the bike. I’m 195 lbs (89kg) and it works great for me. The terrain I ride in is quite a bit different though, mostly tight technical (I have lots of trail vids from Vancouver where I live). I’m contemplating replacing it with a 2020 TE150 or perhaps a TE250. You’re right about working the bike though. It’s not for lazy riders.

What did you end up doing? I just sold me 2018 TE150 that had a high comp head and Vforce4 reeds and man that bike RIPPED, I was so sad to see it go, but I just got home today with my 2022. $11,187 otd.... I sold my 2018 for $6500. so that hurt. But I just really like this TPI stuff. I have a 2020 250XC tpi and rode a 2019 300 XCW tpi before that. I don't know if ill get the top end out of this TPI that my carb 150 had but im hoping for a little more bottom end and mid a more linear power.

Great review. Congrats. I am lucky enough to have my own land to ride on and have decided to go 2 stroke again now they are so civilised (and because I am bored with 4 strokes). At first I thought just get a 250/300 but since looking into it in more detail via videos like yours, I have decided to get one of these 150's and a 250 as well but more and more I have a feeling that the 150 will be the one I take out the most and the 250 will be the one I lend to mates. I have a lot of tight technical woodland trails so outright speed is irrelevant.

I really enjoyed your review thanks. I own a couple of larger dirtbikes and have been looking at these 150's because of the screaming howling fun factor. If I may offer some feedback on the video. Please do something with the sound. You have great content and insight to offer but you sound is terrible and echoey. Anyway, thanks so much for the review. I hope you don't hate me for the feedback. Thanks.

@@DMobley232 I'd say it's an insanely capable bike. On bigger huge long hill climbs the smaller capacity being a 150 does mean you really really have to get it singing. Otherwise it's size and weight is more of an advantage for agility maneuvering

I did some fact check as I know that KTM has better numbers on weight. www.ktm.com/ee/enduro/150-exc-tpi/ KTM 150 TPI 96.8kg vs TE 150i 99.6kg which is 2.8kg more weight. Mostly due linkage system I suppose. Rear suspension travel KTM 310mm vs Husky 300mm. +1 for KTM Ground clearance KTM 370mm vs Husky 360mm. +1 for KTM So it seems that KTM is still with better specs and I would by KTM again ;)
