what a nice little saw! Just had the local Massey dealer drop a brand new one off at my house, 'because I don't charge enough' to weld for them for my side gig

The T540xp has plenty of torque! Great saw for trimming whether in the tree or on the ground. Thank you Tim, hearing that in the morning gets you up and going!

The tx540 would be a good saw for fire wood cutting tops up. Used to cut wood from logging tops and farmers clearing. Tops are all tangled up.

540 is for 12 or 14 inch bar shown on official website, not for 16 inch. 2:11 You mentioned 16 inch bar, not sure if it is good or not.

Nice vid, I had 2 stihl 026 and loved them. Both run great until I fell a tree on one. The other still run great after 25 year of cutting firewood. Then I bought the new 261C M and expected it to bee as good as the other two. It was not. After 3 years of cutting firewood 261 broke down with crankshaftfailure. Stihl told me I was to blame not using the Stihl motomix oil. All these years I mix shell oil and gas 2%. That was not good enough for Stihl 261 Stihl told me. Not happy with Stihl 261 and Stihl-service anymore. No more Stihl for me....

Don't think I'd recommend doing a bore cut with a top handle saw. When they kick back they come back hard.

A super Husky chain saw demo-the 540 is very nice and compact-could be used one handed-Very powerful for its size. You like cutting slabs from the logs!Looks like fun-could be cool to smooth the thicker slabs with a belt sander!Nothing like cutting with a SHARP saw-so effortless either chain or circular.Band saws, too! Also the plunge cuts-you are working like the old Powermatic chain mortiser that was in Central High school shop-sadly it didn't workanymore-no bars or chains. The bars and chains came in the widths needed to cut the mortise-the chain was direct driven by a 3 hp 3 ph motor. So wanted to try that tool out-you cut the mortises yourself-no shop machine required! The mortise could go 6-8 in deep.

Like the video, But would love to see a video with a 25 inch bar on the T540 before Thanksgiving, because I'm looking to buy on Black Friday, either the MS 261 Pro (because I have seen the video with a 25" bar on the MS 261 Pro) and it looks like that 540 has the power to handle it, as I have a very bad back and it would help not to bend over as much... I know with the bigger bar you can't push it as hard and being as old as I am I will be much slower as well, 45 years ago I used to limb like you, but now I'm just slow and careful... Please put a 24 or 25 inch bar and post another video limbing and cutting... Thanks...

Husqvarna had so many problems with the t 520 that most dealers won’t sell them, so they don’t have to deal with pissed off customers. That being said I believe that he is testing a newer version of the saw. Some of the problems have been worked out.

Top panel saws are nice and light, but there is an extra bit of danger in that the operator is tempted, as you see here, to hold the wood/brush with one hand and cut with the other. This puts that holding hand in harms way. This is a real thing, And the lightness of the saw tempts the operator to wanna whip it around cutting small bits of brush instead of using a loppers, machete etc. You can see this effect in the video.
