Husqvarna T535i XP Battery Climbing Chainsaw for Arborist

First Try and test with the Husqvarna 535i XP battery top handle chainsaw. Test the top handle battery-operated chainsaw out at the woodpile and climbing in the trees. Compare it to my Husky gas chainsaw and also another battery-operated electric chainsaw. New saw and review. Best battery chainsaw that I have used. Similar to the 536Li XP.

One thing I don't like about the battery saws is the way they sound. It's like bare metal or plastic rubbing and grinding. Battery saws are the future though. Lots of advantages to them.

I like the concept. But after running my echo 3511cs it feels like a really expensive cinder block. Looking forward to see how they evolve.

I'm certainly not getting rid of my gas saws anytime soon but the battery saws get better every year

Have you ever had a "battery fault" or just a "fault" code? A review that was recorded several years ago reported that when it experiences a "fault" code, you have to take it in for service and have them flash the software. The Stihl battery saw will correct itself by taking the battery out and then putting it back in. I'm not pushing Stihl, that is just what I have heard while researching the two brands.

I have not had a fault code with it. Seems to work great, no problems as of yet.

I just bought this same combo for climbing/cutting trees on my yard and farm that can't simply be cut down. I hope to get good use of this because it seems overpriced and as much as a big gas saw... like Husqvarna figures your an arborist using it to make money?

I've never minded buying an expensive tool if it works well and holds up

I have a 535iXP that I bought new and it has bee a TERD since day 1. I can only make a few cuts (always less than 10) and then it flashes the overheat signal and won't work again for 20 mins or so. Does not matter if it's summer or winter. Brought it to a dealer when it was still under warranty and they blamed the battery, not the saw. Took them almost a YEAR to get me a new battery (factory back order) now I am out of the warranty period, and the saw still won't do more than 10 cuts. Friend has one and his works great. Swap his battery for mine and his saw is still good and mine sucks. Husqvarna customer support won't help! They just refer me to a dealer. Dealer won't help because its out of warranty. Bought this new and have literally made less than 100 cuts with it. Total junk and even a "PRO" saw like this is no good and si I wasted a ton of money and Husq won't stand behind their product. Buyer Beware. By the way, I have a lot of other Husq equipment that has done well for me but this was a total waste. First time I splurged on Pro and just got hosed.

Sorry to hear that, sure sounds like a defective saw from the dealer.
