Same thing recently happened with my Husqvarna YTH 2448. It threw the belt at first so I figured it was just stretched and bought a new belt. Made it about 50' and it threw the new belt. Both bolts shear'd off on the Hydro unit mount. I have the FAB deck which is heavy and it had a rod going to the cross member also. Can't believe they used 5/16 self tapping grade 5 bolts to attach the mount. The cross member is very flimsy and the metal is half as thick as the mount ? It has the stress of the mower deck on it plus stress of Hydro unit and was bent up pretty good. One of the ears on the bracket was broke off. Lucky for me my Father in Law restores old cars and has fabrication equipment. We used 1/4 inch thick 3" angle iron and fabricated a new mount for the hydro unit cutting and drilling it to match the original. He made a new cross member out of 1/4 inch x 2" angle iron, then the sides that bolt to the frame out of 1/4 inch thick 2" bar stock welded to the angle iron. While the hydro unit was out I drilled the broken studs out and changed the oil with 5w50 synthetic. I then noticed there were 2 bolts underneath directly under the two that broke off. I took them out and drilled through both to the top. I saw a picture of the split cases and saw it would not hinder anything. There is only like 1/8" of material between the bolt holes. I used 3" bolts and nuts that went through the both case halves. After bolting it together using all grade 8 bolts I bled the air on the hydro unit and the tractor no longer threw the belt. My Father in Law checked it out and being the perfectionist he is altered the cross member to include a lower mounting bracket also, LOL. Swapped out the 3" bolts ton 3 1/2". Now the hydro unit is supported on the top and bottom. We also noticed the tab on the frame where the axle bolts on on the right side was half cracked. At that point we made 2 brackets to support the axle out of 3 inch 1/4" thick angle. We did not cut the frame tabs off. There is a dimple on them so we notched the angle iron. He was going to weld the new brackets to the frame but we decided to run the axle bolts through them first then drill 3/8" holes and bolt them to the frame. This problem should never happen again.

Turn that bracket upside down, so the transaxle "sits" on it, and you can use the two bottom bolts that haven't broken off. It will line up perfectly. It actually keeps more support on the transaxle that way when moving forward, where most of the use is anyway. Be sure and secure that now upside down bracket to the cross member with bolts and nuts instead of those self-tapping ones it came with.

Thanks for the great tip Bill, just found out mine are sheared off, I'm going to try flipping the bracket instead like you said, seems a lot easier.

Weld a nut on the broken bolts they would come right out no issue. No reason to use easy outs. 🤦‍♂️

If they line up, just drill them through and use a long bolt to secure it all?.. right?. I'm not a mechanic, just a dumb old carpenter so I'll just stick to wood, but you're welcome.
