I had to go through the trouble of logging in to KZread to THANK YOU for posting this. We do not have a dealer in our area and this mower was a purchase due to severe allergies and lack of lawn services here. A quick 2 minute trip back out to my mower corrected the issue and I know how to proceed if it keeps giving me issues. Good people like you keep the world going round :)

Ahhhh thank you so much for this video! You saved me probably hours of guesswork and troubleshooting. My 315 had this issue and it looks like the front joystick (It only has 3 sensors) got moved out of position when I picked it up and cleaned it.

Thanks for the video ! I ran into the problem with a 320 model. I was fortunate to retrieve the magnet which had fallen out of its housing when taking apart the plate, and I put it back in place. You saved me quite a headache.

Thanks a million … my “collision issue” was exactly the missing magnet on the older black plate / magnet-holder … I’ve immidiately placed an order of the newer White version ;-)

Thank you. My chassis was loose and I just had to push it back in place. I wish the fault code was more descriptive/helpful.

another AWESOME Video.....Update on my mower(Which this Video shows exactly what is wrong).. I took it to dealer wednesday they might get to it monday :(...they called me Friday for code I could hear it going off in background..but they would not say if they were actually working on it. So, I wait.

I had the same problem. The body and magnet was in place. The solution was to turn it OFF the main switch at the bottom of the mower. Leave it turned OFF for 5-10 minutes "to make sure that the power is OFF all circuits insight the mower", and then turn it ON again. this removed the collision code and I could start it up by choosing primary area on the display, Try that before you take it to your dealer or repair shop. It Could save you the trip, and maybe some money.

I have a fairly up to date 450X I got this message and it has the white plate. After a couple of attempts to get him going I removed the plate to check the magnets. They were fine. However under the plate was lots of wet grass debris, it was very clogged. I cleaned it all out and the charge terminals and so far so good👍

Thank you for this video! I too have this problem and found the magnet in the grass where the mower stopped. Unfortunately I already had the "upgraded" husqvarna part 501 06 56-02. Glued it back we'll see how long that lasts.

Thank you for this! I found the magnet in the grass where the mower stopped, and insulated it with a piece of paper - so the tape wouldn't stick to it - and then duct taped it securely into place. The mower then worked fine. Probably not the best long term solution, but the mower is usable again, and works fine now. It will give me some time to order the part that the video recommends while keeping the mower working.

Do you end up replacing the part? Can I do it myself or do you need the dealer to do something with the computer?

I hit this collision active problem. It drove me crazy and eventually I took it into the dealer. The problem was the joystick like sensors above the real wheels were over active. The dealer called into the main office and made some changes and it’s working great now. The problem for me was intermittent and the mower would not do long straight passes and it would turn all the time and the coverage was bad.

Really helpful for 330X. When flipping over for cleaning the magnet (I now understand) got loose. Simple repair magnet was still there. Avoided costly repair at dealer that would have probably come with blank "we replaced the motherboard" statement.

Thanks for the advice, it helped me find the issue on my 330x. In my case it was the small chipset, on the inside that reads this magnet you mention, that has after five years of vibrations got out of its fixture. You have to break the warranty seal, take off the 14 screws, simply but the chip back in its position in the front. I encountered this problem ("Collision Front" then "Collision Active"), found the magnet lodged sideways, and tried to hot glue itupright ... but without success. Is there a "rightside up" to the magnet (as would be if it were a magnet in a steel cup/sleeve)?

Yes, the orientation of the magnet is critical on this part. I would recommend going to a dealer and getting the new upgraded replacement. I've not seen any problems with them yet.

How do I clear old error messages from the keyboard Please?

Thanks for the video. I recently encountered this issue out of no where after just storing my automower for the winter. I replaced the magnet holder as you recommended and the old magnet was actually still in the previous holder. When I go in the maintenance menu by holding down 0, its showing that all sensors are working properly but it's actually the rear collision sensor that's active. Any idea what that's about? Put magnets in the rear joysticks and it did nothing. Pretty frustrating because I don't have a knowledgeable dealer anywhere near me. Appreciate it you could get me pointed in the right direction. Thanks.

Check the connections on the joystick sensors. Also, the magnets in the joystick sensors need to be installed in the proper direction. If any of them are installed upside down the reverse in polarity from the magnet will cause a collision sensor active message.
