Sorry for the late reply. Actually, after 1 year he is working great still. I still have some issues with him falling in an occasional ditch, but it is still a lot less time than mowing. I also had a power supply fail that was replaced under warranty (the newer supply is a different design). I have replaced the blades 1 time, and had to fix the boundary wire due to a dear chomping it in half (even though it was buried). But those aren't major issues. Still one of my best purchases given the yard size.

He is still going strong. In total I have replaced two motors and a couple power supplies (make sure you mount them and dont let them sit in any water). He still gets stuck in some areas I have but I think my yard is difficult. But otherwise he is great. I would include in your budget a few hundred bucks in fixing the boundary wire after a couple years. They tend to break down a bit over time (tree roots, movement, etc)

To clarify, the older motor design was more prone to water intrusion. The new motors have not had any issues (2.5 years)
