I've had a 562xp for 3 years and I have zero complaints other than it takes 4-6 pulls on the initial start up to go after its sat for more than one day. I have cut well beyond 1,000 facecords of firewood with it and felled hundreds of trees and for a 60-65cc saw it bites and chews the wood. I've had no problems with torque and I file down an extra few passes on my rakers and with a 20in bar I have no issues in hardwood like maple, hickory and ash. The 24in bar gives it a run for its money but it still doesn't back down from a fight and I would recommend this saw to anyone for a daily use firewood saw or even logging a small property to open the woods up.

That is a good saw for sure. I own the husqvarna 2017 model. The XP 550 is less on the weight though. I am a fan of husqvarna always for sure, I am taking a liking to Sthil now. Both are great saws though.

I have the 20" and do the rakers a little heavy too, but she's fast and nimble enough that the good bite is nice.

Really great to see you do this video. I literally did the exact same thing with a 562 XP that I found on Facebook dirt cheap. Right away, when I saw it, and pulled the starter, it had zero compression. I knew the top end was toast. Did the meteor piston and replaced crank bearings and seals, new carb kit and fuel line, and the thing is a beast! Definitely my go-to everyday saw!

I did exactly same with my 550xp, £100 with a ruined top end, cleaned it up, new Meteor piston, and now runs like a dream. Classic Husky hot start issues too, but apart from that it’s brilliant. Nearly as good as my 560! I have much smaller trees in England, so my go to is generally a 50cc. Great channel marra, love the insight into beginners modifications that I’m starting to do.

@@tinmanssaws still haven’t gotten to cut with it, but it lit right up on the second pull after sitting a couple days and I’m happy with that, especially starting with a saw that didn’t run. I didn’t feel like I did much, I added some 18* of intake timing and cleaned up the exhaust which got me another 4* on the exhaust. After watching you and Harvey it was super cool seeing it come together on my bench. I can’t thank you enough for the info.

One of my favorite saws is the 562xp. Light nimble little screamers. I’ve built and rebuilt a bunch but also own 2 that are 2016’s and the biggest issue I see on the crank bearings is guys running them dull and over heating the saws and bearing failure isn’t long after. Also another thing I see is loose crank stuffers some so bad they rub the case and cause super fine magnesium dust go places it shouldn’t lol. Keep the 562 sharp and run good oil and you’ll get thousands of trouble free hours like I have

I'm sure you know you can cut a couple rounds, or one long "double" for a stool to take a little load off your back so you can sit and sharpen. I hate sharpening on the tailgate, if I can avoid it!

I’ve got a 562 and I love it it pulls good I did SB it cause clutch side bearing went so got a new oem short block and transferred everything I cleaned up transfer ports and widened exhaust port and took about .030 of the topside put a popUp with base gasket delete and had .021 squish (🤘🏻perfect) and put dual port muffler and small timing advance mod and it really woke up... I’m actually bought another and it’s getting decked with a full port job from David Powers in Medway, Maine!! Have you Heard of him? But I had him do a 372xp pre-torque and that dude is a monster in the cut with a 32” bar full house chain that I hand square file with double beveled flat file with rakers at about .045-.050 and she don’t struggle at dogs deep.... but my 562 is strong and can’t imagine how this is going it with a full ported cylinder?!! It’s gonna be pretty warm but not hot... but hair over work saw... for my entertainment if I may!!!! 😆 you do excellent work and would love one day for you to port one of my 266’s or my 268xp or one of my 272’s or 394 or my other 372 or even my 395, possibly my 288..... or something completely different my 357xp there’s a few more but can you have too many saws? @@rob5529 my go-to bucking saw was a 288 husky with a 26” bar, and 404 skiptooth. When I bucked for a living....now I only use a saw for choppin up firewood, so the triple nickel is a nice balance for what I do with it...and a 24” bar is long enough to keep my back straight and happy when I’m working. cheers from northern BC, Canada.

Tinmaaaaan, that saw almost sounds like it leans out after it gets warm through a few cuts. We are in cooler weather up here in Canada and I find my saws get lean quicker this time of year. It might be this saw in particular being that its a Revy little bugger? You know alot more than I about power saws so excuse me if I'm wrong. Keep up the great content and us subs will keep on watching. Take r easy..

Your saws are leaner in winter for sure. I fatten all mine up in winter as the air density changes meaning they need more fuel. As for that saw going lean, its an autorune saw so its always tuned perfect in my experience.
