Great tip with the heated pin Bellhopper !But if that is a nylon cage bearing i would not heat that until it seizes (steelcage bearings can absolutely take it) but the nyloncage dont like heat. And to pull the cases together with the case screws is not higly recommended, if you do so use more then two screws. That operation with two screws can either pull the thread from the magnesium case or may make the case half slightly crooked so it wont seal up or in worst case it lets the bearing out of its pocket and creats big trouble. Procedure works, but it’s quite risky. When i assembly cases in my shop i cool the crank in the fridge and apply medium heat onto case and bearing before i pull them together with a homebuilt puller made from threded rod and the centre spindle from a broken clutch. Took 15min to build and cost close to zero.

We used to use liquid nitrogen for shrinking the bearings, that stuff is fast!

Hey buddy i just turned a peice of mild steel in the lathe bout the size of the bearing and cut s few heat fins in it

@@bellhoppersaws I have a small oil leak in the saw 372 xp when it stands under the saw and when I unscrew the oil filler, I can hear a hiss of air what can it be?

Skf in most builds they are made in italy
