I found one of these on the side of the road a few weeks ago. Missing the gas cap and breather. I never thought it would run. I put some gas in it and used a gas cap from a old lawn mower. It fired right up. What a great weed eater.

I've had my 324L for maybe 5 years, change oil, spark plug, & clean air filter every spring...never had a problem starts every time.

I can’t believe I have had this unit for almost five years and have been winding two separate pieces of cord all this time! That being said, it’s a good solid model, the Honda engine is built like a tank. I have run mine harder than I should and it still has all the power that it did when new! Thanks for the video

Thanks! I love my 324L! I starts easily and cuts like a samurai sword! Even after storing it for the winter, I put gas in it and pulled it 2 times and it started right up! Be sure to do the proper maintenance and it should last many years!

My instructions showed 22’ of line with one side 4” longer than the other. That is how I rewound the spool. The OEM only puts about 6’ on the spool from my experience.

Where did he get the strap and clip for the trimmer? Also what kind is it? I noticed that you definitely need the strap and clip because even though it is on the lighter side, if you use it for a period of time, it will wear you down. Thanks in advance. 🙂

Tens would be 0.1 or 100 thousandths, so you are about 20 thousandths or .02 small. Great video! I debating the 4 cycle or a 2. I love the sound of the 4 and doesn't the 4 cycle start easier?

Thanks for the info! I’ll share a tip with you. Buy one of those little plastic line cutters and glue it onto your weed eater. You’ll never be looking for something to cut line with again! Lol!

Just got mine and like it's power and no mix gas and oil. Bump feature doesn't work, string doesn't want to come out on one side, any suggestions?

Do you use Sta-Bil in the fuel tank?

  • @BenjaminSahlstrom

I haven't but I probably should. Around here we usually use Seafoam though.

Benjamin Sahlstrom oh yeah you mentioned that at the end, I’m converting from Battery Powered so I’m educating myself on the effects of Ethanol. I was able to get ethanol free for my gas mower but I add Sta-Bil as well, even during the season. Not needed I know but it’s a good idea and really cheap

Its such a small tank. I empty the gas back into my one gallon can then run the machine out of fuel maybe add an ounce of seafoam. As I'm running it out of fuel

Not to mention that not having to buy two stroke oil greatly reduces operating expenses. This can be VERY significant if you use this for commercial use.
