We had some issues with the 3120s when we used them for ripping big logs in half while heli logging. The seams in the gas tank would leak fuel almost from new, might have been a manufacturing defect because a few of them did it while still new. I liked the old 090s or 088s better, slower cutting but it was taking 5-6 hours to cut through big 7foot spruce anyway. Greetings from British Columbia

Bought mine in 1998 Had the engine rebuilt under warranty Had the ignition replaced about 5 years later. Currently has spark, fuel and compression but won’t start. I’m not a professional and hardly ever use it. I’ve milled 2 logs in 13 years and cross cut a bit but minimal because it’s so heavy. I really regret buying this saw.

Howdy! I just purchased a 3120 and the throttle cable needs replaced. I’m having some issues getting the cable out of the handle. Any advice? The handle doesn’t have pieces to open up like a 394 or a 372….so you can get in there. Not sure how to go about it.
