What size breaker did you use for the plug ? I have the husky red 60 gallon. It says 15 amp on the tank I’m just curious ! I’m about to do the same installation thanks for the video

  • @ThrownSparksGarage

So my breaker is a little oversized because I weld off of the same circuit. Which isn’t ideal for the compressor because it will allow it to draw more current before tripping but that’s the risk I’m taking with using a 30 amp breaker. If this is a dedicated circuit for the air compressor I would size it based on the recommendation for the air compressor.

I would double check the oil level and the switch on top, my switch was a little finicky at first and I needed to adjust how I wired it together. Also maybe check your breaker to ensure it’s sized properly and your input power as well.

The power chord I used came off of an old welder that I scrapped. Your best bet would probably be to see if you have a local welding shop near ya and they could get you a properly sized power chord; or you may get lucky finding one at a local scrap yard. Hope this helps!

When I purchased it, it came on a pallet but I brought tools with me so I could remove it and then transported it the same way that you are planning on. I would recommend to bring something soft to rest it on and watch the orientation of the motor so it’s not putting to much stress on itself when you lay it down.
