I had the album when I was a kid...45 years ago or so. As a kid, it's a fun movie, with some catchy songs, cool cars, & some laughs. Admittedly, I was one of those kids that liked the movie, (saw it in the theater, many times! ...Mom loved it too.) Thankfully movies like Poltergeist, Friday the 13th, Halloween, etc., started popping uo everywhere! & those flicks became my favorite genre... My father let me watch whatever I wanted, so we rented all the gross & gory movies like... SCANNERS, MOTEL HELL, & FACES OF DEATH! Lol...perhaps that's why I got into METAL HEAVY music early too...hmmm. 🤘🤔🤪. ...Uh, sorry for the tangent, my point is just this... (Mainly for T...) You'd be surprised at just how well Grease is written, musically anyway. Check out the soundtrack, I'll put 20 bucks that there's at least 2 songs, that won't make your face look like that again! Lol...Priceless for sure! Anyway, that flick, & the music in it, is pretty good, but I would NEVER ask you to react to that shite, haha!!! If you want a great album, that was made into a musical for the stage not long ago... The album is in my top 5 albums EVER! So, this isn't just one off the top of my head. The album?.... "GREEN DAY: AMERICAN IDIOT" A masterpiece of writing, (it is a 'concept' album, with one story throughout the album.) It's an all around masterpiece. The story, the lyrics, music, etc,... I know it's on WB, but if you can't react to it, at least listen to it. BUT! ...The best way to listen, & actually HEAR it, is lounging, alone, with a drink or 3, with your headphones, & reading along with the lyrics... This album will take you through the life of a musician, & the ups & downs that come with it. It really nails the feel of feeling alone, even when you're surrounded by thousands of screaming fans... It is a concept album, but it's more like a story, told in song, and told well... If you don't react to it, do yourself a favor and LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM, FRONT TO BACK...YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT!!! Sorry for blabbing along... that's way too many words, just to say... "Hey T, listen to this..." ...What can I say, I like to babble on occasion. Ok, T...I hope this pushes you a bit closer to listening, & reacting to "AMERICAN IDIOT. " You will love it, & Tasha would dig it too! If needed, I'll try to scrape up some change to sponsor a video... (But if I'm dropping Ca$h, well, I think it would be way more exciting & eclectic to react to, " FAITH NO MORE: ANGEL DUST." THAT, my man, is a proper masterpiece! An album that ZAPPA would probably be astounded by the innovation, the themes & the massive BALLS you'd need to write it, & sing it so sweetly in some parts, & screaming madness the next... OK, SORRY, AGAIN! I GET ...LOST, IN MY HEAD SOMETIMES. IF ONLY I COULD GET ALL THOSE VOICES, NOISES, & SILENT THOUGHTS THAT BREAK THROUGH THE PEACE , JUST TO START A WAR IN MY PSYCHE... IT'S ASTOUNDING... TIME IS FLEETING... I'VE GOT TO, TAKE CONTROL.. MADNESS, TAKES IT'S TOLL... I'M GOING TO, LOSE CONTROL... --- I must be losing it. Over tired, & losing my mind...great time to be alive...huh, pfft... I got a bit , strange there...didn't mean to be so crazy, shit is crazy these days. LATER Y'ALL... 🤘🤪

Damn, T! I’m a hardcore metalhead, and I’m here to tell you that Grease is one of my all time fave movies. Freaking awesome. I’ve also been in love with Olivia since I was a wee lad.

The first time I saw John Travolta on Kotter I never dreamed he'd go from '' up your nose with a rubber hose '' to the star he is now. He was so good at playing the really dumb Vinnie barbarino .😂🤣😂🤣

I honestly don't think I've EVER seen anyone so unimpressed with this scene. I suppose since he has never previously invested any time & interest in it, it doesn't really mean anything. But to say with such confusion "He's in love with her??" My God! That's OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN!!! How can anyone NOT be in love with her! lol!! Enjoyed your response, but the husband there truly had me scratching my head with confusion. Missing out on so much fun!

A little Trivia: This was filmed in the summer of 1977 and on Aug. 16th they were starting to film this scene and it was announced on the radio that Elvis Presley has just died. They said that everyone was in such shock that they could not work and they shut filming down for the day so people could get over it enough to go back to work. Changing the subject about Elvis. Olivia said she had to be sewn into those pants and she said she could not eat or drink anything until they finished filming this scene cause she said she could not go to the bathroom cause her pants would have to be taken apart and resewn on her.

On the left is how a person looks who hasn't seen Grease. On the right anyone who has seen Grease can't help but smile, sing and dance a bit. We was dancing and smiling...ty

I've watched other couples react to not only this song and others from the movie, but also the entire movie. And in one instance the husband was just as reluctant to watch it, but every single guy who watched the movie ended up loving it!! They thought they would hate it, but loved it instead! Give it a chance, you may be surprised. This song is one of the last songs in the movie, so maybe seeing what led up to it and what the context was will help you enjoy it more.

I was born and raised in Iceland and I think I was 6 years old when I seen this movie for the first time. Over there we don't dub the movies but use subtitles and I could not read well enough to really understand the the movie so it was purely a visual and a musical experience. Cool cars and upbeat music. I loved it.

1978 I think it was, we were at football practice in high school, and one of the guys on the team was talking about the movie Grease, that he watched over the weekend. I don’t ever tell family, and friends, but I liked Grease. I don’t even tell my wife, lol.

This was my first Teen movie. Grease is my favorite Movie. I graduated high School in 1982.

I feel ya T, I've never been a fan of musicals for some reason. But I can appreciate the talent of Olivia Newton John and John Travolta. The corn-fused look on your face is priceless. 🤣

I lost count on how many times I've seen that movie. I'm not sure if it was everywhere but where I am, they brought it back to the theater for a while so I got to see it on the big screen. Let me tell you, myself along with a large majority of the people in the theater were singing along word for word. It was great.

Filmed during the summer of ‘77’ at John Marshall High. They used our football 🏈 field so we had summer practice on our baseball field. I remember a few years back flying into Van Nuys and getting cleared to transition through Burbank airspace and going over Marshall High and I was telling the story to Lorenzo Lamas who was sitting right seat in the helicopter 🚁 and he looked at me and said, yes I know. I totally have forgotten Lorenzo was in the movie Grease, he played the jock who liked Sandy, 😂

I have never seen such a look of bewilderment on T’s face before. 🤣🤣 But I have to say I was slightly offended when he said he had no desire to see Grease. Lol Blasphemy I tell you!

Olivia was born in England, but grew up in Australia, she was quite the heartthrob in the day. Australia was pumping out some big time stars in the day between Olivia, The BeeGees and their brother Andy, to name a few. The reason it is surprising about him not seeing "Grease", is the fact that it has become a big time Broadway show as well.

Well, I was about 7yo when Grease came out. I watched it in the theater many times, Mom loved it too, so we went often, lol. Even in my 50"s, I still get a 'nostalgia hit' when I hear that bass riff(s)...🤘😎
