Husband trauma is his own to deal with and if he’s refusing to seek treatment he has no right to take it out in OPs brother or anyone else. OP should have never discussed her brother medical diagnosis with her husband it wasn’t his business and it wasn’t hers to share.

Story #1 ESH. Husband behaved very badly due to not trusting mental health experts. But I'm not letting OP off the hook; ultimately this all started because OP shared her brother's private medical information with a third party without his consent. Story #2 NTA. If you leave your kid on someone's doorstep and run, in an attempt to force that person to babysit your kid, then you deserve to lose your baby! You deserve to lose parental rights and to never see that baby again. If someone does this then don't give a warning. Call the police immediately. Story #3 The aunt is partially to blame for what happened to the cousin.

If the first story is true - it’s so sad. By sharing her brother’s private psychiatric diagnosis which is much more sensitive information than a regular medical diagnosis, OP may very well have destroyed his life. All it takes is a hint of the label pedophile for people especially men to lose everything. She knew her husband had been abused so how would that disclosure EVER be helpful and not triggering ? OP “didn’t want to lie” to her husband when he asked her about her brother after she opened the door to the conversation. So she broke a confidence and has potentially ruined so many relationships including her marriage. Apologies are pointless. You can’t unring a bell and you can’t take back words once heard. I feel deeply sorry for her brother who has done nothing wrong except trust OP. I hope he is able to recover from this and move forward.

Story 1: the cycle of ab.use happens more often than not when victims do not go to therapy to break it. OP's husband is becoming that which he hates, and OP needs to stop making excuses before he harms their kid.

Story 1: “Multiple psychologists explaining it will sway the judge”. As someone who does Family Law for a living, this is definitely a line from someone who has no idea what they’re getting into. Multiple psychologists testifying as expert witnesses would cost you a fortune and you’d still likely only get fifty/fifty without hard evidence dad is a danger, which is unlikely. Basically, stop taking legal advice from Reddit and consult actual lawyers.

1st story: OP, your husband unfortunately is not going to change unless he WANTS to make that change himself. He's willing to cut your family from your life if it means he doesn't have to confront his trauma with a professional. I'm sorry to say, but if you do want to stand up for your brother, you might have to file for divorce and not allow him in the kid's life.

Story 1: Is everyone fucked? The husband is having a very human reaction to this new info. Let the man process. "No, officer, she's actually a 1000 year old dragonkin." He is in the stage where it seems like you are trying to gaslight him into thinkings he isn't a chomo. You can't just drop something like this on someone. This is a keep it to yourself disorder. This is a, "I belive your diagnosis, but stay away from my kids anyway," kinda situation. I don't care if you have the board of medicine behind you, that's a year ban from children until I process this shit situation. The uncle heard the condition and had the same reaction. The woman is a monster. Yes, she did ruin her brothers life. Everyone always goes on the side of caution when it comes go kids. Any good parent does. Losing one family memeber to feel safe is an easy choice. Who does she think she is spreading personal medical information like this?

All those talmbout psychologists like theyve never misdiagnosed or gotten things wrong. Plus iif she runs away she making it that he can prolly get full custody and sued for isolation

You don't understand the disorder 🤦🏽‍♀️ it's not him thinking about children it's him having the constant fear of turning into a p3do all people with OCD have intrusive thoughts but unlike us they can't control their reappearance, for example some people have ocd thoughts that if they don't knock twice on a table they will become a serial k*ller so they become fearful and frantic about knocking they won't become anything and the thought holds 0 weight but it will still torment them.
