Young folks were really living life back then. Outdoors, good tan, good posture, not fat or plugged into the phone. People had a sense of humor too.

Hell yes that’s exactly what I noticed. The young people in this video were fit and the guys had that machismo .. compare that to modern teens who are lethargic and passive

Thank you... I was 9 in the summer of 77 in NY. The blackout, Yankees on the way to World Series, .44 cal killer scared the shit out of me use to listen to radio in bed at night about Sam.

I was in high school back then, seems like yesterday..it was a scary time, and what was even scarier was when we found out that Berkowitz was living 2 blocks up from my high school...

I love all the tough Italian mothers being interviewed about their daughters being out with this sicko. My background is Armenian and it's no different grew up with A LOT of Italian friends. Are family units are TIGHT and so are our rules.

Well that was the culture back then - not only Italian or Armenian .. people back then were much more fit and macho or brave .. such a different culture

This is amazing for many reasons. Raw footage of the time - Geraldo at his peak - the young people are just so different compared to modern ones.. they were all fit and trim back then and had much more machismo .. must have been a scary time for those living in this area - all to think a butterball in Berkowitz was causing this terror

Only about 12% of lifelong smokers ever get lung cancer unfortunately the great Joe Coffey was one of the 12%. He had quit smoking, but then when he saw Virginia Voskerichian’s destroyed face, he was so shook that he started smoking again and was never able to kick the habit
