I don't think that's the point. Hisoka don't have reason in itself most of the time. He kills weak, he kills strong, he just didn't care. If you piqued his interest you're fucked. He may be "friendly" to someone similar to him, like Illumi, or cooperate if he find it's interesting enough, but mostly Hisoka is just perverted serial killer. Nothing more nothing less. When he helps Gon and Killua in the Greed Island arc he just mostly do it for shits and giggles while waiting for Kuroro's treatment. Hisoka also loves to edging himself and savor his victims. So it was win-win to him. But after losing to Kuroro Hisoka became obsessive with him. It's just like yandere girls in anime, he wants to hurt him cause he obsessed with him. Something like that. He would be bum out when find out that Gon is out of commission. But we'll won't find it out because it'll be last big arc anyway.

So here is an explanation for anybody who doesn't read the manga: eventually, Hisoka got to fight Chrollo in the Heaven's Arena, and got whooped BADLY. Reason is, chrollo borrowed the powers of the other members, so he came to the fight prepared. Hisoka, however, didn't prepare. He died in battle, but managed to bring himself back to life by enveloping his heart and lungs with his Bungee Gum, and made his Nen act naturally to revive himself. After that, he kills 2 of the troupe members, Kortopi and Shalnark. He let Machi live though (for now) so that she can warn the other members Hisoka is coming after them all. Reason why Hisoka wants to kill them is so Chrollo can't use the other members abilities next time he fights Hisoka.

When Star Platinum Kickstarts Jotaro's Heart

Hisoka is almost immortal he can recreate his limbs (not the inner organs) but they can be protected by bungeegum (rubber property and bungeegum is strong enough to counter razor's powerful ball throws without breaking in) then you see his texture surprise that can be used to fool anyone if not for the audience hisoka could have severed chrollo and he is likely to grow more powerful with each battle for instance now hisoka knows about his ability nd likewise he can brainstorm more compactful strategies to counteract him! It will be funny if Hisoka just use bungeegum to stick the covers of chrollo's book he wouldn't be able to use it.

Theory is most likely every member of the spiders during the voyage will be kill except for Illumi, Kalluto, and maybe Machi. I believe Illumi is secretly working with Hisoka by being a spy for him. Illumi will not kill any of the members but instead just lure them in towards Hisoka. Only killing them if they caught on about his involment with Hisoka. By the near end of the voyage, the last members standing will be Chrollo, Kalluto, and Machi. Hisoka finally confronts Chrollo and their final battle begins. Machi will try to interfere but stop by Illumi and Kalluto at the last minute. Hisoka kills Chrollo while Machi watches. Machi will ask Hisoka to kill her but Hisoka refuses and ask her to get stronger so she can take her revenge. Reason being either Hisoka is still horny about Strong opponents hoping this will motivate her getting stronger or he still has a little soft spot for Machi.

Well we know that the next person in the phantom troupe to die is most likely shizuku from the fortunes that they read in the earlier arcs. Cuz based on the fortune shalnark was going to die if he picked up the phone call, which he did, and we know that the fortunes can never change so shizuku is next die since it says she will meet her end in the chamber of treasure so the ship going to the DC.

I am a Japanese fan. I do not speak English. The great thing about Hisoka vs. Chloro is that members of the Phantom Troupe may have cooperated with Chloro while hiding in the audience seats. Chloro first explained all his abilities in the camouflage of fighting alone. If it is true that they were fighting together, it can explain all the discomfort that Hisoka felt during the fight. After Hisoka came back to life, he realized that there was a joint struggle in Machi's words, and it is believed that he killed Scharnak and Coltopi so as not to interfere with the one-on-one fight with Chloro.

Machi has nerves of steel. Imagine being Chrollo. You did nothing to give this psycho a reason to chace you down for years trying to kill you for shits and giggles. Compared to all the people that have a reason to target Chrollo for revenge and don't get close. Chrollo realizes there is no way to stop Hisoka unless he himself kills him, goes out of his way to get specific abilities to kill him, kills him and surprise the crazy magician is still coming after you! Can I just say that whoever made this edit did a fantastic job. One of the best manga vids i've seen. It feels like actual care was put into making it because you want viewers to actually understand the story, instead of it just being a slideshow of the panels really quick in order. The translations were better, other panels were put in to add context, edits were done to emphasize certain panels and the music was top tier. Good job!

I like hisoka. He got mad salty that he didnt get an actual fight but an ambush instead, so he’s retaliating. He wants a fight that he can purposefully enjoy, and anyone that dares to ruin that gets fair play from him personally.

Those two members are not combat based, also both of them had no hatsu. Replace Shalnark and Kortopi with Phinks and Feitan, Hisoka is not pulling that shit off.

@@rektful Hisoka would f*ck them up. 1. Pain Packer doesn't work when you get INSTA-KILLED. 2. Phinks power is equal to feitans. Here is how Hisoka would win. They meet outside and fight Hisoka but hes is too fast and cuts feitan his head with his cards than phinks gets mad and rushes Hisoka with his nen ability but Hisoka creates a trap before phinks rushes . He didn't use gyo(eye nen). Phinks gets in the Trap. He's stuck and Hisoka finishes him off but before that happens Hisoka trashtalks him saying :,, I have expected more of your nen , but you are weak so die (laughter). DEATH CAUSE: BLOOD LOSS AND DECAPITATEMENT.

So as far as I understood it, his post death nen now allows his bungee gums to recreate into the shape of limbs which he can fine control. Previously all the texture surprise did was act as glue to patch over onto his limbs to hide damage.

As far as I understand, his rubber nen is indeed capable of recreating missing parts - maybe even able to create completely new objects that are not parts of his body. Texture surprise now doesn't need any materials except Hisoka's nen in order to replace one substance to another.

@@acandycrushsagajourney6215 the thing is, neither Kortopi nor Shalnark had their abilities as from hte call, you can see Chrollo say "ill give them back to you on the ship", so at best they could strugle a bit but not use their nen abilities as they wished to, Kortopi getting ambushed in the bathroom is nasty and even worse the way Shalnark is surprised and then attacked, i do wished to have seen how Hisoka killed him aside just the end result though, but the surprise factor is inmense nonetheless

That's how you properly use bungee gum, which has both of the properties of rubber and gum

Without shalnark and cortopi crollo can't replicate his strategy anymore. Seems Hisoka learned the lesson.

Im glad he didnt kill Machi. She was the only one who cared for him, even after death.

i would actually love to to see kurapika and hisoka teaming up to defeat ILLUMI and CHROLLO. that would be such a dramatic scene

If Illumi was supposed to actively hunt for Hisoka he wouldn't have to join the spiders to do so, and he seemed pretty nonchalant about looking for him on the ship, and Illumi isn't nonchalant about any contract. That, and Illumi and Hisoka seem to be good friends. I think it might be a surprise twist of Illumi, Kurapika, and Hisoka vs the rest of the Phantom Troup at the end of this arc but that's just me

When Hisoko is his own plastic surgeon and resurrector, he can do it all, I always saw him as the orochimaru of hunter hunter, he comes back all the time and his obsession with gon is like that of saskue that orochimaru has, both are great characters, I was rooting for hisoka to win this fight

I wonder how much of hisoka’s body could be “reproduce” out of his rubber. Like there has to be a limit right? At what point does he become more rubber than human, and if he just kept going would that make him weaker over time because he sort of had to keep it up? At some point if he just kept reconstructing himself, would getting injured again do next to nothing because it’s not even his real body anymore?

Hisoka is a wise hunter, he start with the weakest in combat i think, but the most useful in many ways which is kortopi, if he overlooked those weak troupe members he know for sure that his in trouble later, if ging moves his prey to whatever he wants and succeed thats what makes him a hunter he said, for hisoka, hunting the prey and succeed is maybe his ideal of being a hunter🔥🔥🔥

the thing is, if Hisoka want to kill the whole spider it mean also feitan, and Hisoka thing is rubber and gum property, but you know what happen to gum and rubber at intense heat (such as a sun)? The rubber become hard and the gum melt/burn, so Hisoka can't anymore use all of his flexibility

Yeah it could be problematic unless Hisoka already knews his ability, also is not possible for Feitan to use that ability in the ship, it would be a terrible decision, the place isn't ideal for the use of a massive ability like that
