Regardless of the gaps, he could have taken the "easy" route and focused solely on the dark continent, or the troupe, or the succession war, one thing at a time. But he created several subplots that take place simultaneously and still made them all interesting and influencing each other. Yes, he may have had time to think about it while the manga was on pause, but Togashi could barely sit up due to back pain and to this day he draws practically lying down.

There’s something big going on that has nothing to do with the main characters (Auction) the Troupe is there for their own reasons (Auction) and Kurapika was hired but it’s a front to get to the spiders/whoever has his clans stolen eyes (Auction). And the end goal of getting to a mysterious new land that’s only been talked about but no one really knows what it is. (Greed island) It’s literally Yorknew 2.0

Sometimes I forget about Ging and Beyond, sometimes I want Kurapika to just protect Woble, sometimes to fight Tserriednich. And then there's the troupe, Hisoka and the mafia who all have connections to the upper stories. I have no idea how all of that plays out in the end. I'm not even sure I want the boat to reach the Dark Continent too soon.

Kalluto is very likely to die on this voyage and I’m really interested to see what the Zoldyck family response would be.

@@pbtenchi exactly plus Zeno also said that he expects there to be 5 conditions which was the exact amount showing that from a nen standpoint the conditions which the book has seem to be balanced meaning there there shouldn’t be any more conditions to enable such a powerful ability.

I think Shizuku lacks empathy (or any kind of emotion) and was referencing the fact that Kortopi and Shalnark died after having their abilities taken, just like Neon, which is why Chrollo doesn’t respond and Bonolenov tells her to shut up.

"Nobunga" Cracked me up so much hahahaha. He has a historical Japanese figures name if you want to look it up. Great videos describing everything, very detailed and entertaining.

This is just a theory, my personal take on what Shizuku meant by the death note comment is that given that the original user must die in order to erase the ability from the Skill Hunter book and from this some believe it implies Hisoka killed Neon Nostrade before he entered the boat, then every single person that has their ability stolen in his book becomes a target. So just like a death note if you happen to be on the book Hisoka will kill you (if he knows your ability was stolen of course), just so Chrollo doesn't get to use your ability. The current victims of Chrollo's "death note": -Kortopi -Shalnark -Neon Nostrade (probably) Again, this is just a theory.

Hisoka already died once. Through post-mortem Nen Hisoka was able to revive himself, but is it not without a cost? He might gave himself unknown Vows and Limitations towards his revive that will require him to do something for his life. Thus changed his personality and his attitude towards the Phantoms.

For Hisoka's case, His desire to duel Chrollo on a one-on-one match was so intense, that when he learned that he got tricked [by the spiders], He got so furious that his nen subconsciously got activated post-mortem. Moments before his death, He programmed his nen [post-mortem] to serve as defibrillator, that's why he was only able to back to life, after Machi [out of pity] stitched his head with his body [yes, Hisoka got decapitated during his battle in heavens arena, with Chrollo]. ---- so, His case was, the reason he got revived was because of post-mortem Nen. --- now that he is alive again, His power upgrade is probably attributed to his extreme anger and feeling of having betrayed, He probably made a vow to kill all the spiders, The trade off, we don't know..

@@V_for_Vendetta_ 1, hisoka doesn't get decapitaded, his cause of death is axphixiation 2, he made a pact with his nen that after dying he'd like to come back to life, hence the cost being death (+ death is indeed the ultimate cost, bc he couldn't have known how he'd die, his nen barrier could've not been enough and his body could've turn to paste, and that way he'd never wake up again, but he was lucky enough to keep his body intact for revival) 3, the power upgrade is just the nen becoming stronger after death like the characters said, death is a strong enough of a condition to grant a power boost so it makes sense (gon got an immense boost and the price wasn't even death)

One mistake. Chrollo got up peacefully because Hisoka took priority. If they weren’t searching they would’ve cooked everyone around that table.

They could have easily killed the mafia guys but it would be considerably more difficult to look for hisoka without the help of the mafia. As they have control over who gets in and out and have the numbers to easily check the floor for hisoka unlike the troop.

Lol Togashi was just referencing Death Note Anime when Shizuku said it. You've got it wrong, what Chrollo was implying in his ability to steal power was once the stolen abilities in his book disappears, it means that the original owner died inside/outside of Chrollo's influence, you got the opposite idea on your interpretation. Chrollo access to stolen abilities has no time limit as long as the original owner is alive. Since the fortunetelling ability disappeared, it just means that Neon Nostrade (Kurapika's former boss daughter) just died for unknown reasons. Nothing was surprising really, Neon lost her power and because of that her family's influence in the mafia weakened causing vulnerability in them. Many hates his father so it possible they killed her or his own father killed her or she killed herself due his father blaming/lashing out of her.

And pointed out the way he speaks and acts now compared to before and the knee pads that illumi never wore before, but randomly is wearing them now and hisoka was normally shown with knee pads. His texture surprise ability would definitely allow him to do this it let hisokas destroyed body look normal again

The specific request of a room with a shower also reminds me of when Gon and Killua found him on Greed Island bathing, and in general Hisoka’s “frequent” representation while washing. Together with Kalluto’s surprise, I think the theory adds up quite nicely.

I think that illumi can change people's appearance, and he did it to Hisoka, and he used his texture surprise to hide the needles.

We don't know much about them, but phinks is said to be very strong, and nobunaga is excellent one on one. One against hisoka would be awesome to see

The fact that Hisoka successfully infiltrated the spider [by pretending to be a member], Goes on to betray the whole group, Then the spider proceeded to allow new recruits without being more cautious about their intentions.. The Phantom Troupe is a very strategic group, It would be impossible for any individual to join the group easily without getting suspicious [again, especially the betrayal of Hisoka]. Also, I'm pretty sure that all the members know that Kalluto and Illumi are siblings with Killua, the very person who is friends with their mortal enemy-Kurapika. So..... yeah. I find it such a super duper big plot hole for the spider to have allowed Illumi and Kaluto to join them without inconvenience. 😢

Not to be a dick or anything, but for the sake of perfection: Tserriednich is pronounced, "Ser-eye-ed-nick." I think "Onior" is the Japanese pronunciation of O'Neal, "Oh-ni-oh-ru," but for some reason they spelled it that way on the wiki. Also, Japanese words have equal emphasis on the syllables, meaning the names "Shi-ZUku" is "Shi-zu-ku," "I-LUmi" is "I-ru-mi" and so on. Good videos, I subbed with notifications.

If I’m being honest, 1 on 1 hisoka with post mortem nen is an incredible foe. I don’t see a way any of them could beat hisoka 1 on 1, even chrollo.

i think when chrollo steals an ability the original user is destined to die some time in the near future. like when he took kortopi and shalnarks abilities and they died right after.

Not yet all we know is we’re getting at least 4 chapters but hopefully 10-12. He’s working on the the 4th rn and none will be released until all he has planned are done. But unfortunately no actual date.

Onior’s name in JP is オニオール [lit. Oniooru] which is phonetically Oh-Knee-Ooh-Ru however in localization names are rarely transliterated. An example of this is メリオダス which is transliterated as Meriodasu but is localized as Meliodas. Usually it’s trying to capture a real English name but in this case I can’t tell what it’s supposed to be so imo the fan Tl of “O’neal” is more accurate. You’d have to ask the author for a definitive answer.

Togashi has come back and is currently working on new chapters. At first it was said he was making 4 chapters, now it appears he’s gonna do 10 chapters and they’ll release once all are finished. Currently he’s done with about 4 I think so we still got a while to wait. And honestly the way I read is I search read hunter x hunter manga, but one place I’ve been reading is ww3.hunterxhunter.xyz but places like these often get taken down. Good luck tho.

Hisoka would have a little difficulty getting more than one person, but I could see him easily faking a tagalong. this theory is probaly to far fetched but what happens if hisoka is somehow now using bungee gum and texture surprise to become the king of kakin or he will do it at some point.

She is saying that its like a death note because someone is going around purposely killing people chrollo has stolen abilities from to make him weaker. Someone who knows roughly how his ability works. Most likely Hisoka. As for kurapika, he mightve killed neon nostrade to keep fortune telling ability out of chrollos hands, but I don't see kurapika doing that. Hisoka however knows first hand how annoying that ability would be and having seen it first hand in yorknew probs made sure to kill her before going on the black whale.

The post mortem nen abilities has risk,in my theory the user will back from the dead and double his nen power abilities but the user will surely die after he/she accomplish his desire or promise.example of this is when Gon destroyed pitou skull and died he activate the post mortem nen abilities and made a soul promise that he will kill Gon in order to protect his king,too bad Gon destroyed his whole body.what if he kills Gon ?? What happened to his headless corpse?? Is it going to continue to live?? Well the post mortem nen "Sun and Moon" chrollo is using doesn't expire when though the user is long dead. Though what you suggested is a bittersweet ending for Hisoka.

i would like something like this because i love seeing death in stories like this (and staying dead), but togashi has a thing for revival or rebirth. I doubt something like this would happen, if im not mistaken hisoka didnt make a contract for his life to be brought back in exchange for his revenge on the spiders, he just did it. And considering his character he is not one to stick to promises, even one that seems certain to himself. Hes a wildcard, he's fickle hes not one for nen-death-contract because its not really in his nature.

Honestly I don't see any of the Spiders outside of Chrollo (who literally beat pre near death nen amp Hisoka) and Illumi doing anything to pre amp Hisoka...Hisoka already like top 3 strongest physically among the spiders since Uvogin is dead and has the strongest aura among them besides Chrollo and usage of his Nen ability Also Rusty Feitan needed to use his strongest attack vs Zazan who's level 3 Nen user in the data book while Chimera ant arc Gon(pre Pitou fight) is level 4 meaning Gon and base Killua are as strong as the spiders individually at that point of course not including Chrollo who's level 5 Nen user and Hisoka who's near level 5 Nen user pre amp. But i am really intriguing to see how this plot with Hisoka vs the Spiders would go on
