Now we need a fighter to slip through this strict protocol for profit and they won't allow it. USADA was the main player in the game at the time there are plenty of athletes that probably slip because they have no authority in certain countries. They have to have so many negative tests so they would over test certain athletes to make up for those they couldn’t. They took advantage of their authority and tormented fighters with intrusive blood tests during a weight cut. This new company offers testing that is just as effective if not more without being intrusive. The device is almost like diabetic testing device.

We KNOW that the UFC gave Brock Lesnar an exemption to fight at UFC 200 even though he hadn't been in the testing pool long enough. We know Brock pissed hot. The UFC has a proven history of trying to slip fighters through the testing policy. Only a fool would think that Conor doesn't get special treatment. USADA's CEO is right.

For the time I've watched ufc the drama I've watched over the years. How can you possibly say this? Yes Connor was on steroids. I was when I broke my leg. It's nothing new 😂 they aren't trying to get him through the pool. Obviously didn't even watch the first 13 mins. He said Connor could pass 37 tests he doesn't give a shidd. He has to be in the pool for 6 months. How tf he capping?

My main takeaway: 1. USADA were unwilling to break rules to allow McGregor to fight in December or at UFC 300 as he's blasting gear. 2. Hunter is absolutely coked out of his mind

Yea, makes sense. UFC is an entertainment company that uses MMA as a base for its content. They make money by selling PPVs, filling stadiums, and drawing attention for advertisers. Someone like Conor fighting before the end of the fiscal year can make or break their financials for the fiscal year. They are a publicly traded company now ontop of it. So yes, they will bend the rules a bit for certain situations for the athletes that make them the most money.

It's so obvious UFC was undermining USADA when it came to Conor. Just given Dana's July interview with TSN where he was asked if Conor could fight in this year where he said "Who cares what USADA says, we’ll see what happens". Plus Conor's comment on Helwani live about "There's hurdles." and "The 6 months thing is not..what they had said was pass 2 tests and that's it" which Helwani later cut out

@@Joshpower57 Read my comment again. I didn't say anyone had to care about USADA, I said it's not a coincidence that this happened a week after Conor submits a sample. I don't care how USADA treats fighters, it has nothing to do with what happened with Conor. They treated HIM like a spoiled child, didn't test him for a few years while other fighters tested regularly whether or not they were active. It was obvious to anyone who saw him that he was juicing for the movie he was filming but USADA stayed away.

No one ever talked about it or act like it mattered before you saw that came into the picture you never heard about it… as soon as they gave people the reason to cry and complain, accuse other people of cheating because they lost… then it was a whole different story

It’s not that hard to draft an email that says “we’re discontinuing the USADA deal as of the end of the year. Drug testing will continue. More news to come.” Why are employees always relying on press releases for information.. sometimes about their own damn fights.

No matter how professional the UFC tries to sound now this is because USADA wouldn’t give Conor the 6 month exemption. By doing this they’re just making themselves look more like scumbags

@@ronv6326 the fallout of Usada and UFC came on bad terms with Usada somewhat slandering UFC and slandering a fighter who happens to be the biggest name in mma. From what is being said by these two it seems like the UFC has been making moves on bettering anti doping within their promotion and part of that means moving away Usada which is most likely the reason Usada has responded in a hostile way rather than letting it happen in the background. They took away the chance for the UFC to release a report of any kind about this and instead they made them come out and try to protect their promotion from the misconstrued ideas Usada gave the general public/their fighters etc. Dana is a spokesperson, a leader, a decision maker but he relies on these 2 guys for solving problems or doing some of the tedious business stuff. When the leader isn't the right person to put in front of the mic and instead you opt for these guys you know 1) there could be legal implications if they say the wrong things 2) everything needs to have some sort of validity with evidence or details rather than just taking aim and saying Usada's being a bitch.

Well, as long as Connor doesn't fight this year, everything they said makes sense. Tons of fighters over the years have complained about USADA. The announcers have bitched about it. The teams have complained about it. No one was happy with USADA. We'll see how this goes but I'm ok with it if it's better for the fighters. And if they get injured and use banned substances to recover, I'm ok with that. They still need a 6 month wait before they can fight again. But if their recovery is only 3 months versus 9 months and then they have the 6 month wait, that's better for everyone.

The UFC is acting soooo shady lately. They wanted Conor to fight on steroids like they did for Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones

I don't believe them one bit. It's not very hard to see that because they wouldn't give conor a pass they decided to leave usada.

Ok and? Lol. Does that really matter? It’s a business. And at the end of the day Conor is a massive draw. I’d rather see him fighting more often than not fighting. If getting rid of USADA is what it takes then so be it.

Also you need to take steroids for rehab purposes if you go through a major injury,like snapping a bone.If you take yourself out of testing because your not fighting,but in recovery,what’s everyone upset about…I’m sure he is the most tested fighter since USADA come in….passed every test.

Well, this honestly is pretty cool and I hope this ends up being a strong positive to the athletes under contract with UFC

Connor was definitely roided up outside of the USADA pool, but mans had a shattered fricking leg. I’d use whatever I could to heal as fast as possible. Connor after healed re-entered the pool. USADA didn’t like that. So they went on a tirade against him. UFC didn’t like that so they didn’t renew the contract with USADA. Despite not renewing the contract, Connor is still required to be be clean. That’s literally the summary of this video.

Yup that about sums up what I read. Conor did everything correct. Sounds like they were maybe the reason why Conor didn’t get in the pool earlier though. But the UFC was sticking by the 6 months in the testing pool with Conor so no rules were broken at all but USADA was still being difficult with getting him back in.

They knew he was. They only brought it forward since they got dropped. USADA and everyone else literally knew he was on shit.. no for muscle growth everywhere or performance enhancement.. but to heal his fucking leg which literally snapped in two. If he took advantage and gained muscle elsewhere… he’s an athlete. He works out. So shit happens. But it’s not like breaking his leg and getting jacked was a part of the master plan.

the ufc has been hella weird lately, all the way back to the prime deal theres been so many odd things happening. Not even shady necessarily just got a WWE type feeling

I just feel bad for mcgregor being in the middle of this because he has always been a clean fighter, yes obviously he got on juice after his injury to recover about 70% faster. Many people do it. Nothing wrong with it. But now people are putting him in the same category as Jones.

they both get coked up and assault people outside of the octagon lol jones clearly ran turinabol when he wasnt competing during his bulk before heavyweight when he wasnt being tested . and the pictogram sh*t stuck around in his system when he wasnt using, mcgregor admitted to using peds and that usada approved it for recovery. theyre the same catagory

Clean fighter... right I'm guessing you're just reffering to juicing and ignoring the coke, fence grabbing, glove holding and starting the fight far on the inside of the black line so let's just focus on that. He has probably always been juicing intelligently like almost every ufc fighter or athlete in general, he would be stupid not to do so in that environment. Even if he never did, he has obviously gone far beyond juicing to enhance his recovery, just look at him, he is an absolute beast now. I honestly don't see a problem with this while we have juicepacks like Costa, Usman, Romero and his likely opponent Chandler in the sport, but calling him a clean fighter... just no.

Especially when that fighter is the face of the company and your biggest draw. I could give a dusty fuck about USADA.
