Yayy love this❤️ my dad said if I want to keep showing horses I have to learn how to braid. This was a great tutorial! Thank you ☺️
Diesel is absolutely adorable!!! I agree with you, don't cut the forelock! I have had two braiders cut my horses forelock. I wasn't happy when I took the braids out and discovered this!
I still can't believe how enormous Diesel is!! Great tutorial!
I already know how to do hunter braids, and my horse tends to be more of a Horsemanship dude anyways, so we band. But this was so cathartic to watch someone do good quality hunter braids.
LOVE IT! Diesel looks adorable in braids
i´m not even riding hunter and don´t braid the horses i ride :D why am i watching this ? :DD but honestly, this is kinds satisfying :)
Great video girl!! Tis the season for braiding! Keep up the great work! Sending love from michigan 🤗💚💛💙🧡❤

Equine Diana yeah I’m 4’8” and I used to ride a 17.3 hh horse and I was like as tall as his leg 😂
When you cut the excess on the mane, does that make the mane uneven after you take them out? I just worry about that for my mare. She’s ridden in both western and English and I don’t want her mane to look manky for her western shows because it got cut for hunter braids.

Yes it does make it choppy and makes it more likely to poke through the top. Fold the excess tail of the braid over before you pull the knot into the base of the braid then catch the excess hair behind the braid when you tie your yarn. Western breed braiders tend to cut the ends off but it’s a huge no no for hunter/jumper braiders!
YASSSSSSSS finally it's posted woot woot
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻🥰
You should do a video on how to take out braids too!

awesome! thank you!
is it common to cut the end of the braid before pulling through?
@EquestrianBliss

It's optional. If a mane isn't pulled before I braid it, I will normally have to trim it so the braids don't look rough. If a mane is pulled nice and even, I can braid without trimming
this is helo full @equestrian bliss
Does anyone know the size of the yarn she wore??

No cowboy or practical horseman would ever ride a horse with manes and/or tails in braids. I call it stupidity and cruelty to animals. It would be more practical to bob a horse's tail and shave off the mane.
