This ghazal was dedicated to Mehdi Hassan Sahab. An excellent example of devotion of a person with their idol.

One of my closest friend introduced me to this fine art back in 2018 when we were roommates and one day we were having chilled beer in the room. He played this and said, "pite waqt gazal sun, alag hi maza ata hai". He wasn't wrong. Since then this is in my playlist. The friend is busy in his life now and we hardly talk, but I miss him often and whenever I listen to this.

Main chhotti Umar se hi gulam ali sahab ki ghazals sunte aa rahi hoon. Aaj 2024 aaj bhi soon rahi hoon. Salute gulam ali sahab.
