Hundreds mark Nakba anniversary at protest in New York
Around 300 pro-Palestinian protesters gather in Astoria, Queens, in New York to mark the 76th anniversary of the "Nakba" or catastrophe, referring to the ethnic cleansing of Palestine when around 760,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes during the 1948 creation of Israel.
After receiving support from the British government for the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine, on 14 May 1948, as soon as the British Mandate expired, Zionist forces declared the establishment of the State of Israel, which triggered the first Arab-Israeli war.
Zionist military forces expelled at least 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and lands and captured 78 percent of historic Palestine. The remaining 22 percent was divided into what are now the occupied West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip.

- 450 Palestinian villages were destroyed by the Colonialist Zio’nists to setup Isriael, 70 years ago. - For last 70 years the criminal settlers kept pushing Palestinian people out till half of them left and the remaining half were pushed into congested areas like Gaza. - Hundreds of civilians killed by Isriael every year. - 30 children killed by Isriael in 2022. - 200 civilians killed by Isriael in 2023, before the current conflict. Why should Israel not be called as a mad colonialist occupier?

Firstly some thorough independent study would be helpfully in truly understanding this issue. When the British Mandate of Palestine ended, Israel AND the Arabs were BOTH offered statehood. Isreal accepted and built and strong and prosperous future for itself. On the other hand, Arabs rejected the offer of Statehood and held a grudge of regret since... Has that ever been a good thing for someone's future.
