Police violently drive out protesters commemorating Nakba in New York
Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters were met by scores of riot police during a Nakba Day rally organized by the Within Our Lifetime (WOL) group in NYC on Saturday.
Police formed a wall around the protesters, preventing them from taking to the streets.
There were several incidents of police brutality with protesters seen beaten by counter-terror officers and dragged into police vans.
One protester was also seen dragged out of her own vehicle and thrown into a police van.
The NYPD maintained a significant presence throughout the evening even after the rally ended. More than dozen people were arrested. Police also reportedly injured several protesters.

I am for the Palestinian cause, but I have to say that arresting a couple of people in a crowd in *not* violently driving out protesters. Those 2 that got arrested most likely did something. We have to stop with exaggerations. I've seen police violence against protestors, and this is not it. I remember days when cops would simply run in, pepper spray everyone, hit everyone, arrest a couple of thousands people, regardless of guilt or innocence (or even probable cause), and sort it out later.

The protesters didn't do a thing. They were peaceful. I have seen many protests about the palestine and Israel issue. Pro- palestine are peaceful whereas pro-israel are aggressive but the NYPD always arrest pro- palestine protesters. Isn't this called racism?

The Nakbar was another War started by the Arabs in 1948. The Historian's they covered the story claiming Israel were responsible for thousands of Palestinian deaths were Palestinian. So obviously there is never any truth in their story's.
