Now if Humminbird would just understand that a 20 ft. transducer cable is too short for us saltwater guys (Lowrance's are 25 ft.), and $50 for a front cover is petty..

If you do a flush mount and are replacing a G2 with the G4N the mounting hole needed will be smaller. The G2 housing is larger.

love ur videos. if i have the new ultrex and 2 G4N units. can i still connect them all together with that less expensive 5 port box? just wondering if i should spend the extra on G4n vs G3N. thanks joe

Doesn't this have base map/GPS. Also if you have 2 units, can they share or toggle between transducers and will unit be compatible with the Minn Kota trolling motor with universal sonar

Quick question for you....asking for a friend: Is there a way to set up 1 Garmin fish finder unit (that can run down image, side image and also Panoptix) mounted at the console to run a transom transducer for down and side imaging and to locate structure & fish while trolling around and then once they are located - move the same unit to the bow and connect to a transducer pole (like a SeeLite, Poleducer etc.) with a Panoptix live scope transducer to be operated independently of a spot lock trolling motor? Trying not to break the bank / be served divorce papers :)

This was just what I was looking for! I’m thinking of getting two helix 9 units for my boat and a new ultrex. Do you think Minn Kota is going to come out with a new TM for ICAST 2021? I don’t want to buy an older model right as they release a new one.

I'd highly recommend going Garmin. All of their entry levels are touch screen and cheaper. If I could do it all over again I would have went Garmin with their trolling motor that links together.

I am on a kayak I am looking at the helix 7 mega chirp si gps g4 And the helix 7 si gps g3. Is there a difference which would be more practical. I bass,and trout, salmon steel head, and cocaine fish. In a deep 300' pluss Reservoir. May try inshore fishing. What transducer to you recomend?

Between the older Helix G3N and the newer Helix G4N, the transducers are the same. Both of them are the MSI +. On the G2N's that run the MSI vs the G3N's and G4N's with MSI+ there is a noticeable difference, but I wouldn't call it night and day.

I hear they are coming out with GEN5 already!! New models wont work with previous models and will have TONS of new features! Can't wait to do another full upgrade ":)
