Hey Handble Bar Podcast. I love the show! To Start off, I Think this ep was very good. I loved alot of the things said. Just one note. There was Alot of Talk about being true to self and the Way God Created Me. Just abit nervous this could be taken out of context. I Hear alot of this Language coming from Progressive Christains. I think what you said was True, just think it could have been said better. The Reason im saying this is, if the conversation of Humilty comes up again just have extra clarification on what you mean when you say True to self and The way God Created Me. Whoever is reading this please know it comes form Love. If You Disagree and think im reading to much into it. Please feel free and drop a reply

I don’t really agree with Aaron when he talks about pride getting in the way of anyone receiving from the Passion translation or the Chosen. The bible talks about how we are to be careful and not get blown by every wind of doctrine. This is a call to discern. There was a scene from the chosen that was completely different to the biblical narrative and I felt that was wrong. There was another scene where someone dies infront of Jesus and He doesn’t raise her from the dead. That to me is not the Jesus I read from the bible. I think it’s wise to discern and that’s not prideful, it’s just a matter of discerning.

I have to agree - I love listening to these guys but it feels hypocritical to critique people who have valid concerns based on research of both the Passion translation & the Chosen. It seems that the humble position would be to listen and take seriously those concerns.
