Humidity & the Platinum Print Revealed

For years platinum printers have stated that humidity increased print quality. That was not my experience but after a control experiment I discovered they were right, they just needed to go a step further. Adding a damp, humidity board underneath the print was the answer.

    It’s very interesting to see the difference in the latent image between the two alternatives. It may allow a degree of judgement about the best exposure time as in printing out processes. I’m unclear though whether there is a noticeable once development has taken place and is so which approach gives the best print quality. It’s good to see someone investigating these issues. Julian
